"I recently purchased a Rolls Royce from the owner of this pub Taylor McPherson, after being assured the car was genuine I paid his father Howard McPherson as instructed by Taylor, upon collecting the vehicle I took the car to Rolls Royce and was advised that the vehicle was fitted with a mileage Blocker by Howard McPherson back in 2020, after a full investigation it came to light he has done this to a lot of vehicles, I contact both Taylor and Howard they to take the car back and return my hard earnt money they started blaming everything under the sun apart from themselves and will not return my money. These people have multiple businesses in the village, please avoid buying from them, they will go to great lengths to take your hard earnt money fraudulently. Whoever reads this review please pass message to as many people as you can. Avoid Avoid Avoid"

fantastic staff! the room was great. I think we're going to be above average for this kind of abandonment. the bathroom was also beautiful. the food below was also excellent. well in my budget.

Our server, Lois, was outstanding. Great location, within easy reach of Pinewood studios. Next time we visit we will pre-book the very romantic and cosy looking outdoor pods with outside heating, fairy lights and table service. What more could anyone want?

Came here for a birthday lunch a group of 12 Seated outside and the venue is lovely The food was ok The service was terrible Lots of very young staff who unfortunately were not attentive They forgot about a lot of our order of food and drinks and you’d only see them every 30 minutes A shame as it could be great if managed properly

A great stay in a lovely little pub. Although checking out was a little bit awkward because there is no one on sight early in the morning. Rooms: The rooms are plush to say the least, very clean and well furnished. Food drinks: The food was absolutely lovely, great wine selection but not a great selection on draught. Rooms: 5 Service: 5

Please avoid this place! I never write reviews but had to on this one to warn.. The drinks were obviously watered down and I was left with food poisoning.. I dont know how they are allowed to serve the food they do..I believe you used to be able to get a decent grub at one time however the owner Taylor doesnt pay his staff, they end up leaving and the new chef they have has no food hygiene standards nor knows how to cook..day 3 and I have never felt so ill.. PLEASE AVOID!!!

Went for lunch yesterday and ordered Wholetail Scampi from the lunchtime menu. Unfortunately it was not scampi but vegan substitute. Quite honestly it was disgusting. On questioning the staff of what exactly we were eating she went into the kitchen to find the contents of the bag were a vegan scampi alternative. Just as well we didn’t have food allergies either as we weren’t asked before we dined. Won’t be going back and does make you wonder what else is being dished up as alternative substitutes.

What an incredible tasting experience. We popped in on our way home. It is a lovely little pub with a farm shop out the back. Different quirky places to sit and a great deal.on 2 courses if you book in advance. The food was to die for. My favourite dish was the mushrooms on toast with mushroom ketchup. Portion sizes are very reasonable and we had to ask for a takeaway box. It is on the expensive side for us (4 adults, 2 courses each cost £175 including tip) but all our dishes were well seasoned and cooked to perfection. Wth this quality and level of detail, it was worth the price.
