"We are regulars to The Brig but this visit was sadly a disappointment. The main course was served reasonably quickly. No Sunday roast lamb left at 5.00 pm and more red peppers in the Thai Curry than chicken and far too bland. We then ordered our sweets. We waited 45 minutes still not been served asked twice kept being told it was coming and we gave up and left. They were far too busy dealing with groups that had arrived downstairs. So service poor guys you overbooked and couldn’t cope."

Really enjoyed our visit to the Brigg Inn Tranent the food and service was excellent, accompanied with live music. The guitarist singer made the atmosphere of the night with the 3 course dinner even more enjoyable. We be back again for another weekend visit. View menu

I had a great meal with my friends. The food was very good, staff were friendly and helpful. The place was clean and well maintained. Also, there is a lovely outdoor terrace to enjoy drinks outside. Overall, a nice place to have a meal with friends or family.

Amazing food. Popped in for a nice Sunday lunch after reading reviews on Tripadvisor and I was not disappointed. Started with a portion of Pate that was certainly homemade and incredibly tasty! Followed by a Sunday Roast Beef while my partner had a burger. Both were sensational, with my beef being melt in your mouth tender and incredibly flavourful. I’d 100% recommend and if I’m back in the area, I’m definitely popping back in.
