"Used to be a lovely place to eat, but not anymore it appears. We came in for a quick dinner and there was no one else sat down. With a two year old in tow we like to go and eat early to avoid disturbing others and so we don't have to wait long due to him being two he can become irritable quickly. we ordered and sat down, an hour and a half later still no food and no apology for the wait. When we ordered we werent told there would be a wait nor did we think there would be due to there being no one else eating ! we decided enough was enough and to ask for our money back and leave, we never found out why we were waiting so long ! They also had only carlsberg and guiness left on tap until Tuesday! (didn't bother us as we weren't drinking however over a hot weekend there are going to be some disappointed people! this is the third time we have tried to eat in there since they have been taken over and the first two times we were turned away as the kitchen was closed (again no explanation as to why AVOID !"

Great atmosphere pub with a large family welcome garden. Food was good for a lunch with a pint.

A hidden gem, we had the Pan seared salmon, Parma ham, smoked salmon and leek risotto cream jus, delicious food obviously cooked to order. Excellent service View menu

I've eaten before at the Bull. It's a great pub with great food. Today there was no food until 2pm as the had a big booking and you've got to respect that. Had a nice pint and my daughter played on the bouncy castle.

Once again, a disappointment. Despite the changing ownership, the quality remains poor. Arrived for Sunday lunch to find the pub empty except for a waitress. Informed her of our reservation, only to be told there was no carvery that day. It would have been nice to receive a message or email beforehand informing us of this. This establishment in Towcester continues to be the worst, regardless of the number of landlords it has had.

I suggested to my wife that we book a Sunday lunch, to which she enthusiastically agreed. I proposed trying The Bull, to which she also agreed. However, upon arrival, we were disappointed to find that there was no carvery option available. We were not presented with any alternative dishes. It seems that the restaurant has been mismanaged for the past seven years. I suggest they shut down and consider becoming a charity shop instead. View menu

The restaurant recently reopened with new management, and we decided to try it out on a Sunday for a Carvery. Upon entering, we received a warm and friendly greeting. The staff seated us at a table by the window to accommodate my walker, and explained how the Carvery worked. The meal was well-organized and delicious, although I would have preferred the food to be a bit warmer. We enjoyed a lovely dessert and the service was impeccable. We are excited to dine at this restaurant again in the future.

Found this restaurant/pub by doing a trip advisor search based on the reviews we decided to book a table for Saturday night via the website. Got to the restaurant/bar gave our name was told to sit anywhere, our booking was not marked off anywhere which I thought was a bit unusual. Advised by the gentleman behind the bar that the lady whose name I didn’t take would look after us. About 20 minutes after our arrival this lady came over and said that we would need to order food at the bar, at no time were we told this when we asked about a menu we were told it’s only pizza or carvery. So when I said this wasn’t what was on the website we were told ‘oh we’ve had a few people come in refer to the...

"we had read very good reviews about the green room, me and 2 friends who have not seen themselves for a few years decided to go for the afternoon. we telephoned, booked afternoon tea and paid our deposit 2 days before. when we arrived. the waiter took us on our table and said: “I’m sorry, but the system didn’t update, so they didn’t know that we wanted to go the afternoon.” that seemed very strange when they had taken the deposit from us 2 days ago! the waiter said we had to order from the normal midday menu. after we had eaten our salad! we wanted to order 3 coffees, I asked the waitress if we could order coffee, her answer was: “It’s difficult because I don’t have a pen!” I didn’t reply, there are only 3 coffees and cakes. I then asked about the bill that lasted about 15 minutes when they finally arrived, they had not taken the deposit we had previously paid, and the waitress said: "She must talk to the manager, I explained that I stayed 10 minutes on the parking lot, so she could be fast. When I asked her what happened to the bill she said, they must go into the bar and sort it with the manager. I was very annoyed by the lack of customer service, not only had they forgotten our afternoon, but had also accused the wrong crowd. he was quite arrogant and served other people and let us wait. he said he would take £11 for the mistake with the afternoon! it is a shame that eating and the environment is very beautiful. Unfortunately, the customer service makes this place so much down. it is safe to say we will never return or will not recommend it to one of our friends."
