the best of the warm weather, and ended in sussex for a Sunday dinner on the kuhdray. pleasantly surprised, a lot of space to park, outside.

I can remember that I can pass the cowdray over the years, but until this week never set foot at the place. Previously it looked like a big land.

large small pub with an unusual menu. some great creations come from this tiny kitchen. sam was a great waiter and helped us make good decisions for our dinner.

large warm pub near mile end and bow road tube – visited twice the pub, once for lunch on Saturday and once for drinks on Sunday. can highly recommend the fish and chips and my friend had the vegetarian burger that she said was super. is a gastro-sub feel and is worth a visit.

every quarter has its local pub. in mile End/Bow the morgan arm is the one. Sure, there are a few others (which I have not yet tried), but this has everything. reasonable drinks prices, nice cozy interior design, English pub meals and games to play (e.g. cards against humanity) only for the case that they get used to talk.

No doubt the Olympic Park and the huge new shopping centre in Stratford will attract more and more people to the East End. Great news for businesses in the area, but not such great news for diners; they will be unlikely to find a scrap of charm in a food court. Fortunately, Londoners are a resourceful bunch, and if they venture a bit further afield, they will find refuge in the Morgan Arms.

The good has gone. The Morgan Arms was a great place to eat three years ago with a tasty and imaginative menu. Since then the food that is served up lacks in taste and creativity. My family and I have eaten there several times over the past three years and it has gradually gone down hill. The breaking point was when we ordered steaks that had no taste and had to be drowned in the sauce for it to be palatable. The cost for the monosyllabic tasting food makes the food taste even worse. Never will I be going back again, which is a real pity.

shock horror! carrots are the best in the roast! I had a few sunday roasts at the morgan arms in 2008, and although expensive they were always excellent to taste and generous in serving on Sunday, the place was always very busy too day and evening and they must be in the rule. when we were in bed on Sunday morning in May 2010, we thought about where we were going for a roast, the choice was obvious. the morgan arms, however, that is where the good news ended. at the arrival at the morgan the place was empty with only a few people in there. we arrived at 1 o'clock. it proudly shows that it timeout good food guide 2010, so everything seemed ok.
