"The service was both friendly and efficient, with a menu that was well-presented in a manageable size, along with a board showcasing the daily specials. The food was fantastic, featuring classic pub dishes with creative twists using local ingredients. The Haggis bites were especially amazing. I couldn't resist trying the Haggis, Neeps, and Tatties, and I’m glad I did. The meals were great value, offering healthy, homemade food. It turned out that on weekends, the place attracts a younger local crowd. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot that caters to everyone, from young adults to seniors, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Fort William."

Amazing place. Looking for somewhere family friendly and wallet friendly. This is the place. Varied menu. All cooked fresh and well. We really enjoyed this meal.

It is a nice place. Sadly, the steak was terrible, but the chicken and veg soup of the day was lovely! I also enjoyed the chunky chips. Very noisy, be aware of that if you are looking to wind down and relax after a hike, etc.

This place is a hidden gem with a lively atmosphere and outstanding food. The venison burger, haggis, and ribeye steak were all fantastic and offered great value for money. It was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely return.

The staff is extremely friendly, and the food is outstanding! The steak was cooked to perfection, and the venison burger was delicious. The Highland ale was the perfect way to top off a wonderful lunch! It’s a beautiful pub that welcomes dogs. I would definitely recommend it!

It is really nice place with fantastic service, we came with our dog and we were welcomed. I ate the Cajun Hähnchenburger and it was amazing if you like a spicy burger. My partner had the roasted pack and they enjoyed it very much. for dessert we choose the Crannachan cheese cake . An experience I would recommend to everyone.

This is a very friendly pub located on the pedestrian street in the center of Fort William. It was busy and lively on a rainy afternoon, but after all, it’s a PUB! The food and service were excellent. The Turkey Roast was both delicious and satisfying. The scampi were perfectly breaded and came with peas, a salad, and chips. The local beers were also fantastic. I'm not quite sure how to rate this place. On a scale of 1 to 5 within Fort Williams, I’d give it a 4.6; however, on a scale of 1 to 5 compared to restaurants outside of the Highlands, it would only be a 3.2. The food is decent and probably among the best in town, but that doesn’t mean much overall. The staff are friendly, and the pub atmosphere is warm and inviting.

Let's be honest, this place doesn't look as fancy as it might seem. It's just a typical pub. However, the menu is both affordable and delicious. We were so impressed that we visited twice! They serve some of the best desserts we've had in quite some time, and they're huge! I ordered a steak cooked rare, and it did not disappoint. I would definitely return. The staff was also very friendly.

"While the food was tasty and steak was cooked to perfection, the horrible service and very long delays in getting served results in a rare 2 star review. Having read gushing positive reviews about this place, my girlfriend and I.. Tourists from out of town decided to stop by. We called and booked a table for 2 at 630pm. We arrived at 620pm and we're promptly seated. The evening is looking great. Then things started to go downhill. It took us 15 mins to get our orders taken..with 2 tables who arrived after us being served first by the pony tailed sole waitresses there. I waved her down and politely informed her we were ready to order, but was told in a somewhat mocking demeanor that she would be right with me. It took her another 10mins to get back to us. The 2 items we wanted to order.. Ribs and and the risotto were not available. No one told us in advance. Big letdown. To add salt to the wound, the one low alcohol beer on the menu also wasn't available. Food took even longer to arrive. We waited 40 mins before both our burger and steak arrived. Though the taste was good and portions were generous, the accompanying sauce was way too little for a steak of that size. Although my cutlery was swapped out to include a serrated knife, my partner wasn't even given a steak knife. She relied on a bread knife to cut her burger. We asked for water and I made it clear we wanted hot water. We were served a water jug with cold water. End of the night, we can't help feeling very frustrated at the quality of service and long food wait times. We weren't the only ones. We noticed other tables too incurred at least 30 min wait times for food. Perhaps we are an Asian couple.. Was this the reason our table was skipped not once but twice in getting orders taken? One can't help but to draw conclusions. Given the chance, we won't be back again. There are many other establishments in the area worth exploring. With hopefully better table service. If you decide to come here, come very early and hopefully you're of the right skin color to receive proper table service that deserves your hard earned money. And be prepared for long wait times for your food. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30 Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2"
