"We were delighted to see that this charming pub has returned to its former excellence during our recent visit. We had a disappointing experience in 2020, but the new owners have successfully revived the establishment. Our only complaint was that it was a bit chilly inside, despite the open fire. However, considering the temperature was around -4 degrees outside, we can appreciate the challenge. The food was delicious, just as we remembered before the pandemic. We look forward to visiting again. The average price per person is £30-40."

The restaurant is dull and in need of a refurbishment. There are too many tables, making it feel cramped. The beers are expensive. Despite these drawbacks, it has a quirky atmosphere.

Loved it. We had our own little booth with open fire. Great food, great service, next time I am down that way will pop in for lunch. Price per person: £40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 View menu

The food was delicious with generous portion sizes. The service was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go back again. The price per person is between £20-30. Food, service, and atmosphere all receive a rating of 5 out of 5.

Very helpful and friendly service. Booked for table of 8 but had to reduce to table of 3 due to unforseen circumstances, then changed to table of 5 at the very last minute. Staff were very understanding and worked out the last minute change even though they were extremely busy. Excellent food and staff. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5

nice enough and cozy little pub, but the menu makes it quite strong down. too high a concentration in niche (vegan, vegetablist, whatever they want to be called) the menu was pampered by pandering to a mind and not to a majority. decent enough pint when on the expensive side. Finally ok for a drink, they forget it if they want a decent meal. View menu

I arranged a work Christmas meal here and we all had a great time. The communication in the lead up to the meal was excellent and on the day the service was really attentive and efficient and the food was prompt and tasted freshly made and was delicious. I can highly recommend this pub. Thank you to everyone who helped make the day so successful. Price per person: £20–30

A really lovely find. The smell of the food and the real fireplace hits you as you walk in the door. The low ceiling and cozy nooks dotted throughout combined with the very traditional feel create an atmosphere that invites you to stay for hours if not days. The food itself was lovely and the service brought everything together to make what is at heart a quintessentially English pub, executed to perfection. Price per person: £10–20

"The Sign of the Angel is a wonderful restaurant Hotel in Lacock. Service The service was amazing, the staff were so friendly and welcoming, and made our meal so enjoyable as they were always there to serve us when needed. Food The menu was very well put together and something for everybody. We all ordered something different, I have to say all the food that arrived, was beautifully presented, and hard to pick, as we all had food, envy! Drinks There was a wide range of drinks on the menu for anybody wishing to have an alcoholic drink or something that is non alcoholic. We had a beautiful bottle of rosé wine that was from a local vineyard, it was lovely to see local businesses working together! Decor The decor of the restaurant and lounges is homely and inviting, suitable for a quick, get together, business meeting, birthday parties, or something a bit more formal. Prices Prices are very reasonable, especially when you take in consideration, the location and the service that we were lucky enough to receive. Lacock This small quaint village is the most beautiful destination to visit, it is somewhere that everybody should go to to see how beautiful are English country villages are, it is also very well located as it is so close to the city of Bath. I would highly recommend The Sign Of The Angel to anyone looking for a great meal with a venue and experience that you will not be disappointed with, I think next time we’ll end up staying in the hotel that is part of the restaurant and making an even longer trip out of it as we didn’t want to leave. Food drinks: The food was exquisite, with each dish presented like a work of art. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the textures were divine. The meal was truly a feast for the senses the wine from the local vineyard also helped add to the incredible flavours as well."
