"we went to the four pears with friends for a nice dinner and we were not disappointed. the pub is very tastefully decorated and equipped with a warm, cozy, family-friendly atmosphere. there was an open microphone night and it was great to see many people in the lounge who enjoy the live music, although there was a little on the loud side even through in the restaurant area. the staff was very friendly and our waitress, india was fantastic, very helpful and very attentive that she looked after us very well. that was great. I had scallops to begin and they were nicely cooked beautifully beautifully and delicately with a beautiful caramelization on the outside. then I had the lamb that perfectly cooked and tasted fantastic. my wife had chickens, which was tender and tasty. for dessert I had tarte tatin and my wife had a sponge pudding with speck and ice. Both desserts were excellent. costly it was not bad. three appetizers, four main and four desserts, four gin and tonics, three bottles decent wein two coffees and one harbour costs around the £250 brand so £62 per head. overall it was a fantastic evening in a great environment with excellent eating and good wine. What else could anyone ask?"

I remember when this used to be The Red Lion and how it's changed! Popped in for a quick drink and was welcomed by lovely decor and a friendly bar person. Next time I will definitely try the food menu!

We visited here for the first time 23/02/22 for an evening meal. All three courses were lovely, the staff were very friendly and attentive. The pub itself is really nice and set in a lovely location, we will certainly be visiting again

had something great to eat tonight with amazing company. the personal was incredibly attentive and friendly. Yes, it's a bit expensive, but they get what they pay and this place is worth every penny. I had the pork, with a potato terrarine, roasted nectarin and cauliflower with a very beautiful blue cheese sauce (not sure what the crust was, but it was nice). dessert was a heavenly and white chocolate (the best combination of aroma) keks with pistachio ice cream.

Fabulous We came up from London to a friend's 65th Birthday with our families. As soon as I walked in, just loved the lay out and decor. Greeted by smiling friendly staff. We had the conservatory room, it was beautiful, warm and well presented. The serving staff were so polite, professional, and smiling, always a plus. This has to be the best experience so far this year for me and my family. The food was delicious, service was spot on, absolutely delightful. Well done to all . Throughly recommend and hope to visit again. Ps The ladiesToilets always a joy when kept that clean
