"Excellent food, and service, friends made a few changes to their burgers and I tried the chicken and bacon lasagne, we all thought the food was delicious and nothing was to much trouble, everyone was friendly. When we had desserts again we asked for custard with the pudding which wasn't on the menu, but they did it for us, and was told if we needed more custard just to ask. Highly recommend, will definitely go back. Food: 5"

What a lovely little place which is warm and welcoming, the place does need some tlc as signs of damp in places. However, this didn't detract from excellent service from staff and a fabulous carvery which was value for money. I'll be definately going back. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

We booked a table in advance, and I 'm glad we did. Sunday dinner was bust with plenty of others out to enjoy a family meal with their 'fur babies ' The staff are all very pet friendly and give as much attention to the 4 legged as to us humans. The food on both menus (human and doggy) is both a hearty size and very tasty, I recommend the cavery on a Sunday! Booking for a Sunday is highly recommended Service: Dine in

"Was really hungry by the time I hiked into Redruth that hot August afternoon. Walking down the main street, I saw few obvious places to eat, so the Regal came as a welcome sight at the foot of the hill and I dived in. From outside, where a few locals sat drinking at pavement tables in the sun, it appears to be a restaurant combined with a cinema, which is unusual. Inside, COVID measures were in place. I obeyed the sign saying wait to be seated, but the guys behind the counter waved me to sit where I liked. Joint wasn't too busy. I found a two-seat table looking out at the street and was soon served a pint of Amstel by a friendly and careful but hesitant young man--perhaps still learning the ropes? (I had two drinks overall, but he left one off the bill, which I had to remind him of, bless him. The serving protocol of staff here is to bring food and drinks on a tray which you then remove yourself. I treated myself to an excellent feast. Main course was New York Chicken, with tasty bacon; decent, medium-chunk, square-cut chips; a rich, pink-coloured slaw; and fresh red-lettuce salad. Very satisfying. Followed by cookie dough and ice cream. Lovely ice cream. Never had cookie dough before--bit sweet for me, but worth the experiment. Chicken dish was priced at about £11.00 and the dessert £5.00; but I had a great bargain thanks to the Eat Out to Help Out discount! I'd call the Regal more of a cafe bar than a restaurant. My sort of place: easygoing, unpretentious, relaxing, and serving good food in decent-sized portions."
