"A group of six of us visited The Gate for lunch and drinks after a walk. We were greeted warmly and escorted to our reserved table. The pub was quite busy so we were grateful to have made a reservation. The staff who took our order and served us were excellent - friendly and polite. The food was incredibly delicious, with a variety of dishes to choose from. The sea bass and fish finger bap were particularly outstanding. One member of our group opted for the brunch menu, which is available until 1pm, and enjoyed the full English breakfast. We will definitely be returning soon. Thank you! Parking is available behind the pub in a decent-sized car park."

I love this place. I often visit on weekends. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is very relaxed. They are also dog-friendly. The average cost per person is between £10-20. I would rate the food a 5, the service a 4, and the atmosphere a 5 out of 5.

I visit this restaurant every few weeks and my experience is always positive. The staff is fantastic! It's refreshing to see young people being so positive in the workplace. The food is delicious. The interior design could be a bit warmer, but that's just my personal opinion. The price per person is £10–20. I rate the food a 5, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 4.

we booked the tor for the funeral of my mother yesterday. sad opportunity, but we were thrilled that we chose the tor. the personal was really for all our desires and eating (tapas buffet) was great and a lot of it. it is a beautiful pub with a beautiful garden that we use in the location, as it was a beautiful sunny day. we live a little away, but all our local friends will be back and we will certainly make the trip for a meal under different circumstances. please give our thanks to all the staff. all were amazing. Went with a group of friends for the first time to this pub, as we aren’t local, lovely friendly pub with excellent food and staff. Had booked a covered outside table due to one of my party undergoing treatment and unable to be in the sun, they couldn’t have done more for us once we realised an error with the booking had occurred. And to top it off was able to leave the car overnight and they even had my sunglasses the next morning as I had left them behind me. Above and beyond and will already looking forward to my next visit!!

These guys are brilliant. Second time we've dined here. So, okay, a little mix up with me ordering the rib eye but receiving a sirloin, no hardship, but out of courtesy the guys knocked the starter off the bill aswell as being most apologetic. Chicken wing starter was lush and massive, not forgetting, which I did, the huge portion of onion rings I ordered. Waiter redeemed himself by recommending the banoffee sundae for dessert which was to die for. Best part, unlike other restaurants, they don't hover around to ask you how your meal is while you've got a gob full of grub. Well done guys, well done chef, keep up the great work
