Great service, very attentive staff, well worth a visit.

I went with high expectations as it was described as the best Carvary around, it was ok, the Swan at Upton Warren was much better

We enjoyed Sunday lunch here. The staff were attentive and helpful. The food was tasty and plentiful and the restaurant was bright and comfortable.

I visited the Goose with my sister for a catchup over dinner arriving just after 7. It appears alot of people had already eaten and were leaving and many tables needed clearing. The food was good, but the bar service was really slow, as too few staff working were trying to do the best they could serve and clear tables. View menu

My wife and I eat there every Sunday it's our favourite carvery,all the staff are friendly and helpful and always do their best to make your experience a good one,being disabled I like to have a table near to the toilet and door and Aron on the reception always goes out of his way to give me the same table and Mya one of the servers is always there to carry my plate for me ! It's a cosy setting with genuine customer service!!!

Ordered a breakfast today from uber eats it was the best breakfast I have had in a long time the fried bread was spot on delicious poached eggs never had poached eggs like these love them. Large portion breakfast was very hot. 2 bacon, 2 poached eggs (you can have fried or scrambled eggs) , 2 Langford sausage, 2 hasbrowns, mushrooms, beans, plum tomatoes, toast or bread and fried bread every part of the breakfast was amazing and not greasy at all bacon was nice and thick and sausages tasted amazing. Thanks will be ordering again.

I recently moved to the area and have dined at this restaurant twice now. The vegetarian dishes are cooked perfectly and the Yorkshire pudding was amazing. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, no pre-made ingredients used. The roast potatoes were exceptional and the paprika ones were a real treat. The chef is hardworking and has great people skills, making our dining experience memorable. She even remembered us from our previous visit and asked about our house renovation. It's clear that she cares about her customers. The Golden Goose is lucky to have such a talented chef who excels in both cooking and customer service.
