"A very good place for standard items one finds in middle of the road Indian restaurants. What the place lacks in experimentation, it makes up for in dependability. Some items to note are the Rajasthani bhindi (called simply as 'crispy okra ' or 'bhindi kurkure ' at other places), paneer tikka, which was smokey and very well made, and vegetable Manchurian (a quintessentially Indo Chinese staple). The location of the restaurant is superb, perfect for a meal after a walk in Beddington park. The outdoor benches are a delight (we were told those are only for drinks, but we couldn 't help noticing a member of the staff bringing food at another outdoor table maybe the waitress at the bar misunderstood our question), and the staff are courteous. We will be visiting again!"

Their food is absolutely delicious! If you want to try real, spicy Indian food, you should definitely visit this place. Many different positions in the menu, big portions, good prices totally worth it.

Been here recently for a lunch. Nice place. Great for small parties too. The food was delicious. This place also hosts weddings. Beddington park is just next door so and good idea to walk after a lovely heavy meal.

Nice big old pub turned Indian restaurant bar. Nice Indian dishes prepared by genuine Indian chefs. Nice service by staff, specially from Sangram very nice and smart chap knows how to make people feel special. Overall good few visits. Never got disappointed. View menu

Very nice Indian food restaurant in the area. We were big group of 12 people and it was a pleasant experience for everyone. The starter was probably the best in the taste and the main course was i would rate it at average. The customer service was fantastic and they attended us with great details. There was a party upstairs on that day which caused little discomfort by noise and the crowd stacking around entrance and smoking.

Plush looking place, clearly had money spent on it, comfortable. Only stayed for 1 drink but found the bar staff a bit rude and dismissive, not to me, but to a customer who was quite frankly 'correct ' in the argument he was making. Also, poured the wrong drink for me and allowed others to cut into the queue, which shows a lack of attention and customer service. To start with the drinks were useless. I ordered a fruit punch (mocktail)which was 5.50 on the outset seemed very reasonable. When the drink was presented looked very colorful as well, however when tasted it tasted like a drink straight out of a carton. Was very disappointed. The service was good, the food was tasty but not worth the price as they are much smaller portions for e.g the lamb chops cost 12.95 for 3 peices. Which in my view is not worth it. The desert was probably the only nice thing. Personally I think the prices are highly inflated. And I personally would not be going again.

Absolutely shocking service. DO NOT have your wedding or engagement party here. I had my engagement party here last year and they butchered my cake without permission of serving it in pieces, extremely rude staff handling this situation simply said they were told to bring it out like this, which was not the case. But also, who puts a cake topper onto of pieces of mashed up cake!?? I’d advise anyone who has a party here to not deal with Leigh, my night was ruined because of miscommunication between her and her staff and blamed on my fiancé. The restaurant was a local favourite of ours which is why we chose to have the party there, such a shame this experience has entirely ruined that.
