"Good food and a lot of it. I normally go for the Sunday Roast but decided to go for the fish and chips. Not disappointed with my choice. As a starter I had the creamed mushrooms on bruchetter. For me there was too much of the cream sauce and 3 small pieces of bruchetter. The fish was a large battered piece and the chips were crunchy and soft in the centre. For dessert I had the sticky toffee pudding with ice cream. The wife normally asks for a child portion, but didn't this time. She didn't have a starter, chose the roast pork. This came with a lot of veg which she struggled to with. All very nice just too much. She then had the sticky toffee pudding custard, which she thoroughly enjoyed. All this with a double gun and tonic and large glass of Malbec came to £50. Will be looking to book again soon."

Beautiful pub. Lovely welcoming staff. The restaurant was beautiful, full of character. Fine dining experience at a low cost. Beautiful food from starter to dessert. Walnut pate starter was the best starter I've ever had.

Good atmosphere. Attentive staff and good food, health and safety is adhered to very well, screens in place and hand sanitisation is available at multiple locations. Whoring a mask is compulsory if not sat down at a table or sat in the rear garden. We well advise to have the steak, good prices with a top meal

I can't eat dairy and told the waiter this, my meal was vegan on the menu but I still ended up with dairy on my plate. The food for what it was is very over priced. I had 2 vegan sausages with 3 roast potatoes and a very small amount of vegetables for £22.95, to me this is over priced. The place is lovely inside and the staff friendly. "I have never waited so long for a pre booked table. Our table was booked for 3pm on Mother's Day, and we finally got seated (whilst the table was being cleaned around us) at 3:45pm. We had placed our food order whilst we had been waiting, but we waited another 40 minutes for the food to arrive. On asking the landlord why the food was taking so long, he blamed it on the veggie burger that I had ordered I fail to realise how this was possible, given that if a veggie burger had been cooked for 40 minutes, there would have been nothing left if it. My burger arrived cold and with a burnt bun, half a dozen overcooked chips and a tablespoon of chopped up cucumber and tomato. The other members of my family had roast dinners, meat was fatty and chewy, vegetables had hardly seen a boiling pan, and the yorkshire puddings burnt and stone cold. We ordered our deserts, which we waited another 25 minutes for. On attempting to cancel the order, we were told by the landlord that the delay was due to large table that had been served before us and that the delay wasn't his fault. It was just excuse after excuse with this landlord. He clearly is not experienced enough at dealing with a busy pub and does not accept any responsibility for things going wrong. The poor waiting staff were embarrassed and did their best to smooth things over. We will definitely not be customers of this establishment ever again."
