The Old Dog - Menu

As we pass through on our walk , we stop for pint , its was very nice , quick look at the menu, very good selection, very nice big and lots room outside, worth the visit

I went to The Old Dog for lunch with a friend. The food was excellent and the beer was great. The staff, especially Will who served us, were fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant.

we did the ash bourne to dovedale roundgang 8 miles and stopped for lunch at the old dog. eating, service, drinks and beutiful hof, where amazing. I had fish n chips. amazing. great work youngs thanks for the rounding of our day perfectly

My experience at the Old Dog on New Year's Eve was fantastic. The food and beer were delicious and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was wonderful with live musicians adding to the overall enjoyment. I want to thank the staff for providing such a pleasant evening.

A lovely place, very cosy in the winter with lovely Christmas decorations but looks like it would be fab in the summer too with a big outdoor terrace. Beer was great, love the pint glasses. Menu is simple but the burgers were really tasty and the courgette fries novel and tasty too.

We thought this out of the way little restaurant/pub was perfect, great food, beautifully designed!!!! But I dropped one star because we were staying down the road and got ours as a takeaway, we knew it would take a while but after we got back, we realised they forgot one of our burgers... We really weren't too impressed at that.

Brilliant pub to hole yourself in after a hike in the Peak District. I personally recommend the bacon sandwich and avocado salad (mmmm, see pic). It's cosy inside, atmosphere is really nice, and a medieval feel to it. Only downside is the front entrance door which slams so hard when it's windy, it's annoying. If there's seats outside, sit outside.

excellent pub, we are for some eating and drinks after the walk around dovedale with the dogs. love the menu, much to choose. amazing location, we sat outside in a beautiful courtyard, many seating available, many other dogs also. we ordered eating easily and it quickly arrived, no complaining about eating, would be good if the waiters had offered to bring some food tho, had to leave my eating to get it all. eating was super, very well joined, excellent aromen and great presentation. I highly recommended it here.

nice to see the old dog again open! yesterday afternoon after a walk in the opposite and did not expect to get a table, but fortunately there were some tables outside (and some inside we discovered on order). there was a ten-minute break on food orders that were placed as we got to order the cash, understandable given the fact that the pub was busy, but the bar staff came to find us as promised when it was time to place our order. we had a slice of vegan cake while we waited, but it wasn't so long before our meal arrived. the pizzas were great and my daughter also enjoyed their vegan pizza from the children's menu. I had the vegan burger who was delicious, especially the bhaji that was serve...
