The Old Dog - Menu

I went to The Old Dog for lunch with a friend. The food was excellent and the beer was great. The staff, especially Will who served us, were fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Great welcome, efficient and friendly staff, my husband liked the choice of beers, lovely food…… May be we are greedy but we thought the burgers and fries were a bit small! They were however excellent quality and quite delicious.

Great pub, great atmosphere. Booked one day, squeezed in the next day as it was so fab! What a great pub. Perfect for walkers, dogs and muddy boots. We absolutely loved it! Ross was very accommodating and friendly, what an amazing landlord! Five stars from us View menu

My experience at the Old Dog on New Year's Eve was fantastic. The food and beer were delicious and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was wonderful with live musicians adding to the overall enjoyment. I want to thank the staff for providing such a pleasant evening.

I wanted to write a review here because our experience could have merited one or two stars but the staff handled an initially poor experience so well that we ended up having a lovely meal. Thank you for remaking our delicious mains after your kitchen closed and with such care. Greatly appreciated

This was a last minute booking due to a power cut at another pub. The staff were amazing and fitted us in. The food was exceptional so well done to the chef/ chefs. Such a tasty Sunday lunch with loads of veg which was great. Nothing was too much trouble and how nice to be able to take our dog and my dad in a wheelchair with no issues. After walking the Tissington trail, we decided to stop here for lunch, having read the good reviews. It didn't disappoint. From the warm, friendly welcome as we walked through the door to the excellent food and service. This pub is very dog friendly. I chose sausage and mash, and my hubby chose the roast turkey dinner, both delicious. We highly recommend this pub for dinner, light lunch, or just coffee and cake

I really adore this pub! It has a cozy atmosphere, is welcoming, and is just unpretentious. I have been here multiple times throughout the year with my dog, friends, and family, and it never disappoints. It feels like home. I want to commend the staff for squeezing us in for a quick meal and drink on New Year's Eve after a rainy, muddy walk. The soup was the best we've ever had! Simply delightful. Visited on the 30th with a pre booked table for 12 . Staff really friendly and welcoming when phoning to book table and pre order food. On arrival the pub was really really busy however we were looked after and shown quickly to our table . We had to change some of our pre booked orders but this was not a problem and all the food arrived together and was piping hot . Everybody really enjoyed their meals and the service continued to be great throughout the meal . Main reason for commenting is just to say thank you to the staff, we do a family Christmas walk every year with people coming from long distances, so ,as organiser the pressure is on to find a welcoming pub .
