Very old pub now Costa. Lovely old building. Nice cup of coffee. Quite busy. Not too much room.everyone was coming in from the rain.

A good coffee in a very old and quirky building, a delight to visit and very different to the usual style. Small areas with very old timbers, well worth a visit!

Having no WiFi whilst on holiday I went in to this coffee chain. Drink and food were good but what made the difference was the help I was given to get online,the member of staff going the extra mile. It’s not the brand but the people who work there that make the difference

The customer service was awful, my Frostino wasn't made correctly when I asked returned the drink, the barista angrily threw the drink in the sink was not very professional. My partner overheard her say that everyone was complaining about her drinks.I asked for my money back as the Frostino was not to the standard I am used to.

Costa Cafes have always served a great coffee. I had a lovely americano coffee with a bake well tart. I had never ordered pastries before when I picked up a coffee. On this visit, I had some time to spare so I ordered my coffee with a bake well tart. Both were delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful to a visitor to the UK. Its fair to say we take coffee very seriously in this house, so we were thrilled to find our favourite coffee house in Sidmouth. In true Costa style it doesn’t disappoint, its what you expect with the added bonus of location and being housed in a fantastic 600 year old building. Due to its age (and no doubt listed status) its not very disabled friendly and we struggled to get mum and her stroller through the door and down the steps, so not suitable for wheelchair users. However there is seating outside if you have a companion who can help fetch your coffee.

I’m generally understanding that some establishment have issues but I was somewhat upset today when I visited costa with my 86 and 89 year old disabled parents Having managed to get one of them seated from a wheelchair I moved an unoccupied chair from the neighbouring table for her to sit down before being berated in a terse manner across the cafe that seats are not to be moved and I should go and look elsewhere for a bigger tableNot easy for someone with limited mobility I’m more than aware of covid etc but moving one chair six feet is not going to start a pandemic Generally the staff are very pleasant but today standards fell well below an acceptable standardPerhaps the member of staff sho...

I have been a regular customer for many years at Costa in Sidmouth have always found the front of house staff to be great, sadly those staff are let down by a Manager (Phil) who has no people or customer service skills.I rarely if ever make a complaint but sadly today 13/02/21 my patience ran out with the terse attitude of this Manager which I have felt previously on other visits, this guy is supposed to be welcoming, not frosty charmless.After work, myself a workmate popped into costa to grab a coffee, while he joined the queue I just sat down on the stone seat by the food counter as many people often do, without so much as a hello, Phil the manager honed in on me with aggression said OFF O...
