"The Redwing is probably the best value-for-money restaurant in Devon. They could charge twice as much for food this good, served in such a lovely setting, but somehow manage to maintain very reasonable prices. Service is friendly and efficient, and the interior decor is uniquely stylish. It's easy to get to as well. A 15-minute train ride from Exeter and a short stroll through the beautiful village of Lympstone will bring you here, but if you prefer to drive there's a good-sized carpark."

The menu was small, and quite traditional very few gluten free options, BUT the red mullet which I had was beautifully cooked. A very large portion with delicious accompaniments. Dietary restrictions: Quite late muted gluten free options (eg burger without the bun (one of us had this and it came with a tonne of chips, so would have been an ok choice).
