"The Redwing is likely the best value restaurant in Devon. They could easily charge double for their high-quality food served in such a charming atmosphere, yet they still keep their prices very reasonable. The service is both friendly and efficient, and the interior design has a unique style. It's also conveniently accessible; just a 15-minute train ride from Exeter followed by a short walk through the picturesque village of Lympstone will get you there. If you prefer to drive, there’s also ample parking available."

It's a pity that this place is closing down. The food was exceptional, earning a perfect score of 5. The service was also top-notch, matching the 5 rating. Lastly, the atmosphere contributed to a wonderful dining experience, deserving another 5.

The menu was small, and quite traditional very few gluten free options, BUT the red mullet which I had was beautifully cooked. A very large portion with delicious accompaniments. Dietary restrictions: Quite late muted gluten free options (eg burger without the bun (one of us had this and it came with a tonne of chips, so would have been an ok choice).
