"Wandered in asked for a table for one, was told to take a seat at the front and then ignored until another waiter asked me what I was waiting for. Got my table and ordered food and a beer. Service very good food also good first time I’ve eaten in a restaurant that doesn’t have a veg curry with a biriyani? Had to order a sauce for £4.50 extra, they also charge for the sauce and onions served with the poppadoms. It was ok and certainly busy so I’m sure it’s got a good reputation."

"Six of us went for lunch today(6th March) I every one of us were so impressed with not only a beautiful pub full of character and charm, but all the staff were extremely friendly and attentive, and as regards to the food, it was plentiful, beautifully presented and of high quality with plenty of fresh vegetables. The starter of scallops which my partner and I had were delicious and the roast pork was sensational and the Eton Mess was truly lovely. I’m not surprised that you have to book up well in advance and cannot recommend it highly enough, and we shall definitely be returning.Whoever manages this establishment has got it absolutely right. Thank you for a most enjoyable experience."

"I was gifted a camper van rental by my sons for my birthday. I’ve never driven one before, so I didn’t want to venture too far from home on my first trip. After researching all available sites for this weekend, I came across this...place. I brought a friend with me and my two dogs and we were welcomed onto the site and asked if we wanted to be near to the facilities. Very grateful for that! We chatted for a while and he even helped us hook up to the electric. Excellent start to the trip and very kind of R to help us. We sat in the sun for the afternoon and made our way into the pub for dinner later, (with the dogs another reason why I picked this place, as they were also very welcome). I ordered the fish and my friend had a burger. Both meals were very generous and very tasty. H and the other waiters who served us were great and very attentive. We left very satisfied that night. We also ate here on Saturday night and this time I had the salad with chicken. Delicious! I just can’t express the tastiness of their food, enough! Our waitress, A, was very polite and professional and we had a lovely conversation with her at the end of the night. My friend wanted us to have the Sunday roast before we left, so she booked us in and again, wow! She couldn’t decide between the beef and the chicken, so she went for the combo, which had both!! Not for the faint-hearted, I tell you!! What a meal! I chose the nut roast which was the best one I’ve ever eaten. The vegetables that come with it are also very tasty. The Yorkshire’s are nearly as big as the plate and were incredible! I can honestly say, Ive never eaten so many plates of delicious dishes as I did this weekend! We spoke to several of the staff during this weekend and found everyone to be amicable, friendly, hard-working and willing to give good service. I can not fault them. Our stay on camp was enhanced by the young family who were staying across the grass and we had so much hilarity with their small children as they kept asking to see the dogs. They were great. Other campers were very friendly and I enjoyed the camaraderie from them, even if it was just with a good morning wave and hello. I have no hesitation in recommending either the campsite or the pub, or indeed both together, to anyone! I would like to thank every member of staff for the welcome and professionalism we experienced and we will soon be planning for our next visit! Thank you. x"

"when we arrived. they had no recordings about my booking that was through open table?! they had no more tables, as it was a fully booked restaurant! fortunate they found a table in the bar and we had a nice evening. I will no longer book through open table! I will book directly to avoid any disappointment, not get a table again! thank you, more openly, they almost spoil our evening!"

"Before visiting the restaurant, I checked their online menu and decided on ordering a meat Madras for £8.75. However, when I arrived, I discovered that the menu was limited and the Madras was not listed. Upon asking about it, I was informed that they could still prepare it for me, although the waiter kept calling it a special curry. Despite my attempts to clarify that I simply wanted a Madras and not a special curry, the waiter seemed to struggle with understanding English. Reluctantly, I agreed to the special curry, which turned out to be similar to a Madras but was charged at £15.50 instead of the original price. It became apparent that this was a deceptive practice, hence the constant referring to it as a special curry. I have no intention of returning to this restaurant."
