"Enjoy stunning sea views while you dine—what more could you ask for? The food was great, the staff were friendly and provided excellent service, and there was plenty of free parking. With a touch of sunshine, it made for a fantastic stop for pub grub with some lovely surprises. The menu was quite reasonable, and the dessert had an elegant flair, almost reminiscent of Heston Blumenthal’s style—just take a look at the photos and you'll understand why! This place was a gem, and we plan to return with friends next time, perhaps even taking a walk down the cliffs to work up an appetite. On this occasion, we had just finished a long walk in nearby Seaford and were enjoying a day out at another South Coast beach when we decided to follow Google’s coastal route towards Brighton, hoping to find a pub with a nice sea view. We were not disappointed; this was a delightful discovery! It was so good that I consider keeping it a secret, as it was busy and fully booked shortly after we arrived and snagged one of the last tables. If only we lived closer, as this would definitely become my go-to spot!"

This cozy pub is located near the cliffs and has a lovely, warm atmosphere. It's dog-friendly and offers a fantastic menu at affordable prices. There's also a spacious parking lot that can accommodate motorhomes up to 7 meters in length. You'll be spoiled for choice with their excellent selection of beers!

We enjoyed a lovely lunch on a festive Sunday in January. The restaurant offers a great selection for vegetarians and vegans, including a dedicated vegan menu. I had a delicious spicy roasted cauliflower dish. The staff was very friendly, and the location is beautiful, perched on the cliffs with views of the Sleieve Canal. View menu

We drove along the coast to the west and decided not to stop in Brighton because it was too crowded. Thankfully, we came across this pub by the water. It has a fantastic view, and the interior is just as charming as the exterior. The food was great, although it could have used a bit more salt. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

We ordered a tagliatelle and it was quite dry, as if it had been hastily prepared, resembling a dish someone might make after coming home from work with no time to cook properly. They did offer to exchange it for free, but it was definitely not up to standard. If the chef's boss had seen it, I think there would have been some serious consequences.

We celebrated my brothers birthday at the Smugglers this year,as we have done a number of times. The standard has varied but this year was one of the best. Good to sit at a round table on some of the most comfortable dining chairs l have ever sat on. We all chose differently from the menu and all enjoyed our meals. The service was excellent, and they served Harvey's. It was quite a long session. View menu

The restaurant boasts a fantastic cliff-top location with plenty of parking available. The staff were welcoming, and the food met the high standards typically associated with vintage inns. The main courses were reasonably priced, although the desserts were slightly on the expensive side; however, they were delicious. The decked beer garden offers stunning views, but we chose to dine indoors. We left with clean plates all around. I highly recommend this place! Unfortunately, we weren’t able to return for a second meal because the police had closed the road due to an accident. The restaurant was very understanding when we had to cancel our reservation.

magnificent view over the sea while they eat. what could they ask for? good eating, good friendly staff, excellent service, many free parking places gave and some sunshine voila add a fantastic pub stop with some beautiful surprises. the menu was very reasonable and the pudding was very elegant, almost heston blumenthal style to be honest, so look at the photos and spikels. that was a good sound and we will. come back with friends and try to do the walk along the cliffs to earn our food even more next time. this time we have just finished a long walk near seaford and a fantastic day out on another south coaster beach when we decided to follow google along the coast route in direction brighto...
