"We arrived looking forward to a hearty roast lunch, the website had made the restaurant look enticing, promising great food, so we were more than a little disappointed to find a selfserve carvery for the roast lunch not what we had hoped for at all, albeit reasonably well cooked. The staff were civil at best, and the girl behind the bar was very unfriendly. Had we known it was going to be a carvery, we would never have booked definitely worth mentioning this for future diners"

We booked short notice for the Snooty Fox and they telephoned to warn us they had large christmas parties in so the service might be slow. We went anyway and thoroughly enjoyed dinner made even better by carol singers

Restaurant du loup, bordeaux. This is a very old fashioned restaurant and the atmosphere is a bit stuffy. The food is not bad but scallops were too sweet with honey for me. Food a bit too heavy for me. Restaurant not that busy

Welcoming atmosphere and friendly, attendant servic, it was just what was needed after an afternoon unwinding at Calcot Manner.The food was very tasty and washed down with a reasonably priced bottle of wine, I would definitely recommend The Snooty Fox

We found the service mostly pleasant and efficient, with some encouragement from us. Food was fine we both had chicken with creamy leek sauce as main. Pity the Brown Brothers desert wine was finished

We visited Restaurant du Loup the evening we flew into Bordeaux and have to say that this place is fantastic value for money.We took our year old son with us and selected from one of the fixed price menu's which also included a preappetiser from the chef. The food was very good, the staff were really friendly and attentive and the place has real character.I would have no hesitation in recommending Restaurant du Loup
