"beautiful building. fire in the friendly bar open. the personal is really nice to start. the rooms are very comfortable, clean, nicely furnished, the beds are luxurious. our suite has a Jacuzzi bath as an additional luxury. there was an excellent cooked breakfast selection. a nicer selection of obst could have been a thought. we had the afternoon, which was just beautiful, but would have given up a boy with a better background music and improved china tea sauces. the evening meal was very good. below there are no direct parking facilities or permits for local parking, but there are free parking a short walk away. all in all a very pleasant weekend in the hotel the snooty fox, worth a stay."

We booked short notice for the Snooty Fox and they telephoned to warn us they had 2 large christmas parties in so the service might be slow. We went anyway and thoroughly enjoyed dinner made even better by carol singers!

Had an afternoon tea booked here via virgin experience. Had a great time with the staff making the experience that much more enjoyable. Will be back in the near future to explore more of Tetbury and find out what The Snooty Fox has to offer.

"Loup Restaurant in Bordeaux is a traditional establishment with a slightly formal atmosphere. The food is decent, but the scallops were too sweet for my taste due to the honey. The dishes felt a bit heavy for me. The restaurant wasn't very crowded." View menu

to snooty fox for afternoon tea. it was one of the best afternoons we had (we do it a lot! . it is a beautiful building, tastefully decorated, and each personal member is very friendly and professional. I'm just glad we don't live close to each other if we were to visit each week!

What a lovely stay, clean and friendly staff especially the polish gentleman who went way and above to ensure we was happy!!! I have a eating disorder and the chef altered the potatoes to my choice, thank you for that the food was amazing and I eat well!!! We will definitely be returning

The Snooty Fox in Tetbury offers a charming dining room with wood paneling and a cozy lounge for coffee, complete with a friendly great dane named George. The service was mostly pleasant and efficient, especially after we provided some direction. Both of us enjoyed the chicken with creamy leek sauce as our main dish, although we were disappointed to find that the Brown Brothers dessert wine was unavailable. View menu

the personal has restored my belief in really great service. what a team of beautiful people! the food was excellent, on time and the greeting and farewell was also brilliant. the reason why I can't give the full 5 stars was because we were not in the position where there are showers, it was a bath shower that really needs to be updated, very old school. the room was comfortable and clean. great location, so would recommend a weekend stay here.

excellent eating, personal setting and atmosphere. I would visit here in a definitive way, alone or with family/friends. I had advised the Veggie-Burger (feeded cheddar disc, which I would prefer from a strong tasty cheddar). the buyer was really nice and was very nice. the fries were slightly skinned and very nice. pudding was the beautiful apple crumb with an excellent house made custard (crème anglaise) to add a wonderful taste. the music was a soothing sound and a really nice companion to lunch. lots of space, very airy.

"Our third visit for a birthday dinner wasn’t as good as previous visits. The sweet potato soup was plain; the bread was actually toast which smacks of old bread being used. My main course of Sole was smothered with capers, which spoiled the flavour. The salad was amazing; I also ordered Savoy cabbage which may be unusual with the fish but I’d had it on two previous visits and it was delicious; but the savoy cabbage that I paid £3.50 for was absolutely dreadful, so dry, probably microwaved to death; it would not be a gross overstatement to suggest that wood shavings off the floor would have been better. The other disappointment was how tired the place is looking. When I went to the gents, the cistern cover was off showing a clear huge damp problem with mould, and the door cubicle wouldn’t close because it was swollen. I imagine they have been told to keep the cistern cover off to let the walls dry out; which they should do when the pub is closed, not during opening hours. It looked awful and the visible mould was worrying. Whilst in the cubicle the light suddenly went off within seconds of being in there which was disconcerting. For the price and the level where the Cat and Custard Pot is placed it should be immaculate with excellent food. I’m disappointed for them and for us, because this has been a goto dining place for birthdays at least once a year, but we won’t be repeating the experience. It’s worth saying that we have always experienced good service and this occasion was no exception, the waitress was excellent."

"My partner and I tried to have lunch here today. We ordered 2 starters, tricolore salad and carbonara followed by 2 mains, being another carbonara and a pizza plus 2 soft drinks. The dark haired waitress took our order. One drink was delivered incorrectly but we drank it anyway. Then after a long wait a pizza came out with a plate of carbonara (not sure if it was main or starter), but basically we didn’t get our starters. At this point we were the only table in the restaurant so they weren’t exactly under too much pressure. I’m not sure why the girl got the order so badly wrong. We kept the carbonara starter, they took away the pizza and eventually returned with the tricolore salad. No apology, in fact nothing was said at all. We finished. The girls walked backwards and forwards ignoring us and we could hear them chatting away in the bar. After 10 minutes with our empty plates sat in front of us we became annoyed and decided to pay for what we’d had and leave. I explained to the dark haired girl why we were leaving and she argued with me, being very rude and not even allowing me to finish what I was saying. She continued to argue loudly with me following us to the bar where we tried to pay. The other waitress said that she wouldn’t charge us for the dreadful experience that we’d had, but we left feeling very shaken. I have not been spoken to by anyone like that in a very long time. It was really horrible. That girl does not deserve to work in what could be a very nice restaurant."
