"I typically don't write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience at this pub. We visited on December 10th, 2021 for lunch and immediately noticed the nearly empty car park - a sign of things to come. We were greeted by a young man who inquired about our reservation, to which we replied no. Despite the lack of customers, we were seated at a cramped table in the corner, uncomfortably close to another couple. We ordered drinks and steak and ale pie meals, but my pint of real ale tasted like cleaning chemical. The food looked promising, but the broccoli smelled and tasted rotten. The pie was bland and lacking in ale flavor, with mashed potatoes resembling wallpaper paste. When we mentioned the issue with the broccoli to the waiter, he simply acknowledged it and walked away. Another couple was seated at the rejected table, crowding 90% of the customers in just 10% of the pub. We paid the bill and left, without bothering to explain the subpar food and service. We won't be returning."

Food just ok, not quite bad enough to complain, service very very slow. My two words for the Swan would be Overpriced Average

Lovely refurb of this pub!! All looking very promising for the future ! BUT … anyone serving food, or in contact with food MUST have their long hair tied up ! Male or female !! Basic hygiene standards !!

Came here for a lunch with the kids. Food seemed expensive for what is was. Sandwich was nice enough, a few chips chucked on no side salad or ant care taken. My oldest had a burger from the main menu which was over £10, very overcooked with one rasher of burnt bacon. Will not be returning

The Swan, has great parking good access and is comfortable inside. The food is good standard 'Pub Grub ' with an emphasis on chicken. They cater for Vegans and Vegetarians as well as me! so thats our family sorted. We were particularly pleased with the service we received, even though they had quite a lot of customers to sort out they never lost sight of our needs.

I went here full of optimism for the new revamped restaurant and new menu. I’m sorry to say that I really didn’t enjoy my visit. It is nicely decorated but still had a cold feel to the place. It is a newer, smaller menu and the prices seem exceptionally high. I would have expected exceptional food however the chicken burger was as plain as you can get! A burger with a spicy sauce on top with a few fries a lettuce leaf, a slice of tomato and a shred of onion with the obligatory coleslaw. We used to come here a lot but stopped as they were always running out of things. Not a good start for us when my husband ordered the Sauvignon blanc wine to be told that they had sold out. Very average for v...

was not at the swan for a few years, so our kitchen is renovated, we decided to go for dinner. we arrived early as planned and our table was waiting for what was great. the service was on the place to be honest. just eating was a little bit a bit a bit a bit. I had redisserie chicken, which was nice when a little hard, seriously nice. hubby had mixed grill...just complaining was that the boiled boiled looked like they were much too long under a heating. we had desserts that I ordered, the strawberry camouflaged cream cake. was so disappointed because it was in the round a square that was so tiny..2 mouthful and it was gone that cost me £5. think they really need to give a more generous part...
