"I typically don't write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience at this pub. We visited on December 10th, 2021 for lunch and immediately noticed the nearly empty car park - a sign of things to come. We were greeted by a young man who inquired about our reservation, to which we replied no. Despite the lack of customers, we were seated at a cramped table in the corner, uncomfortably close to another couple. We ordered drinks and steak and ale pie meals, but my pint of real ale tasted like cleaning chemical. The food looked promising, but the broccoli smelled and tasted rotten. The pie was bland and lacking in ale flavor, with mashed potatoes resembling wallpaper paste. When we mentioned the issue with the broccoli to the waiter, he simply acknowledged it and walked away. Another couple was seated at the rejected table, crowding 90% of the customers in just 10% of the pub. We paid the bill and left, without bothering to explain the subpar food and service. We won't be returning."
