"The restaurant food was very nice, however too expensive. Also the choice of food was too small, and some items were already unavailable despite being seated at 6.30pm. Breakfast was also served in this restaurant in the morning. The food was good but the service was poor due to being understaffed."

The food was fabulous and the staff were friendly and helpful. All three courses that we had were amazingly good.

Very disappointing experience in an iconic building. Restaurant was uncomfortably cold. Food mediocre at best. Overpriced and very poor value for money.

The staff are very under trained. Made mistakes and were fumbling around. Management need replacing. We won't be returning anytime soon. It was far from impressive.

The atmosphere was pleasant, the staff were efficient and friendly, but no table was reserved for us. It might be best to call ahead and make sure one is reserved next time.

large eating, a high standard of quantity, which is also matched with the quantity. also the staff was excellent and more than to help out of the way. I would recommend to try the forks.

We had a fantastic dining experience. The staff was welcoming and attentive from the moment we walked in until we left, without being overbearing. The cozy atmosphere added to the overall enjoyment of our meal.

My mother to the afternoon tea. Really disappointing and very expensive. Very rough waitress and quality of food was very bad. Restaurant was not very clean and several dogs in the restaurant. Not worth the money

"My partner and I often visit Ludlow and like to discover new coffee and lunch venues. We were a little hesitant when finding this lovely looking cafe/ bistro was empty, whilst elsewhere coffee shops seemed quite busy. The interior was inviting and the waitress friendly so we decided to try it out. As a first impression, I think the extractors in the kitchen could benefit from an overhaul , as the smell of stale fat was noticeably in the air. Also, as is a trend in coffee shops recently, the place was a little chilly. Hot chocolate and coffee was ordered to sort that! These came quickly and were ok. My partner ordered a bacon sandwich (crispy bacon please! and a tea cake for me. The latter was unavailable so a scone was second choice. Sadly on arrival the bacon was definately not crispy and had gelatinous fat and rind. The bread was thick white sliced toasting bread (supermarket cheap and not fresh. My scone came with cream and jam but the scone was like a brick. Definitely not today 's or yesterday 's even. On paying my partner was asked if everything was OK with our food. He politely replied about the scone being stale and the response was simply Oh. And that was that. On leaving the smell of stale fat was in our clothes .... I think that the poor ratings on here are more recent and the average 4 star rating has been bolstered by better reviews earned historically. I do hope this isn 't a downward trend for this little business and things can be pulled back."

"this excellent and very busy michelin and good food guide listed caffe right next to the teme in dinham, below the burg in ludlow, just a few meters from the most famous, michelin played herr underhills nothing to reduce the culinary call of the city. eating everything is careful and in perfect condition. a hugely light confusion about what was up and what was out was soon overcome and my melt in mouth gravadlax came with dill and senf dressing and first-class fresh roggenbrot. also the pasta of my companions looked good. I followed with panacotta and a pfirsich. the wine is delivered as carefully as eating and comes from “small family-run independent vineyards” and a modest asatical white domaine leon boesch, la cabane 2011 – rounded off the whole. the green cafe has 30 seats inside with 25 on the terrace outside, of course only usable if the weather is good, so they have to book. it is a midday restaurant and operates 90 minutes sessions. but on a good day as it was for our visit, it is a total joy. children were sure to paddle in flat water of the river and the mood, supported by the friendly, busy, but unraveled worker, was like a party. the green credentials of the place are underlined by the careless with which everything is done, including the sanation. it is worth mentioning this – we use edward bulmers paintt pots of paints with seat in pembridge, herefordshire. our new tables have been made from retrieved wood by steve hodges by leominster – how brilliant is this? a walk over the Dinham bridge, led to the flow nature path on the right and the bad teme, which we on the way to the charlton arms, where, on the terrace overlooking the river, we did not sink a few pints from hobson."
