"We only tend to visit the Weighbridge once every so often, but that's only because we live about an hour away. We visited last Saturday and as per all our other visits, it was well worth the journey! The starters were great, the puddings...were superb but the undoubted stars of the show were of course the in pies. The pastry is very short and just falls apart in the mouth. The fillings are fantastic and (if you have the full size pie) you most certainly won't be left hungry. We were served by a few different team members who were all very friendly and attentive and we were not kept waiting. If I had to criticize something it would be that there wasn't a traditional bitter ale around I had Bath Ales Prophecy which I chose because I was driving but to me it was a bit too citrus-ey. Personally I would prefer a more traditional ale like Butcombe Bitter or Wadworth That's just my taste though and it didn't detract from our experience at all. I would definitely recommend the Weighbridge. We are already looking forward to our next visit."

Very disappointed with the pies very dry on the steak and kidney as no gravy inside filling and not sure where to start on the pastry, it was like eating flour and fell apart just made so much mess like you were going to role...out on a flour service. I would not recommend this and when spoke to staff they just said sorry.

Enjoyed a lovely evening meal with some old friends and we all enjoyed the in pies (although I would recoomend going for the large' option (the small' option is better suited to small mammals that fully grown adults). Sadly, our evening came to...an abrupt end and we were encouraged to finish our drinks (last orders? Friday night Always lovely to have a pie at the Weighbridge Inn, but don't bother with the coffee... just awful! ...the worst coffee I have had in a very long time.

What a fantastic experience the in pie is. We were staying in Stroud and visited here on a Sunday for lunch we were shown to our table which was up stairs, all the waitresses were very friendly and our order taken in good...time. We ordered lamb koftas as a starter to share, then for mains two large pies, one steak and mushroom the other chicken ham and leek, both with cauliflower cheese. They were cooked to perfection, and the melt in the mouth pastry covering the meat content was fantastic they were both very generously filled with chunks of meat and the cauliflower cheese was so tasty. I was to full for dessert, but hubby managed the in pie which was half cherry pie and half apple crumble...

Came for the “famous” two in one pies. We arrived a little early and asked if we could have a drink before our meal and the landlord told us in no uncertain terms that we could not. We were not made to feel very welcome...as a result!! Luckily one of the waiting staff said our table was ready so we were able to sit down. Food was ok-ish. I’d say we were disappointed with the pies and found the pastry a little odd (it is VERY short and claggy in the mouth) but that is just our taste. My fish pie was three quarters broccoli. One of the toilet doors doesn’t lock properly beware! and the toilet floor wasn’t very clean. The waiting staff were very good and the price was reasonable. I wouldn’t hur...

Loved going to this place over the years especially on cold winter evenings so booked to go with friends for a birthday pie ! Specifically asked for the corner table by the fire in the bar area when booking so was really disappointed to be...shown into the other side on arrival There used to be a fire in there too but now that’s not in use and blocked off by a table and even the radiator near the door wasn’t on so it was a very poor and cold experience especially when people arrived or left ! Even the pies aren’t the same. I think half half is now more like two thirds (veg) to one third (filling) and my cauliflower was definitely a plain white sauce and not the once delicious cheese sauce. T...
