"Each time we come to Somerset we come here for the sunday carvery- It had previously been recommed to us when we rented a private caravan at Burnham on Sea. The Restaurant is lovely and clean, and very welcoming. The food and service is always excellent the staff are lovely and friendly, there is a veranda where you can sit outside a separate part where you can play pool and darts after you have had your meal. I would highly reccomed this place to anyone visiting the area"

The place only opens when it feels like, been there a number of times only to find it closed and when you do get in there it’s always empty. Wonder why!!!

Stayed 2 nights at the Travelodge and asked for local eating places. Glad I did cos we would have headed into Highbridge or Burnham. The Windmill was very clean, and the staff welcoming and helpful. The food was freshly cooked and generous portions. A little gem, and worth the visit.

1st time for Sunday Roast and we loved it, some cracking Sunday Lunch places around Burnham but for us, this stands out. The pricing for the quality/service amount was absolutely bang on the money this is how you get great reviews and to get people returning over and over again we will that's for sure

This is an excellent restaurant and bar. After a long Sunday walk our group of 4 arrived for lunch. The carvery was very good and the staff behind the counter, both here and at the bar, we're very friendly and professional. The food was very reasonably priced, delicious and perfectly cooked. The seating and tables were, respectively, comfortable and big enough to take our drinks and dinner plates. Very much recommend a visit.

"Been wanting to try this ‘alternative’ pub for a while. Large car park with plenty of space, no steps or slopes into the bar. Access for buggies, wheelchairs etc should be okay, my mother walks with the aid of a frame and has no issues. Inside the decor is certainly alternative but in a great way, loved it! Plenty to look at, keep you entertained and talk about as you wait for your food or just pass the time. Staff were friendly and welcoming, there was just one guy running the bar, taking food orders and bringing food out; I thought he needed a helper or coworker really. There is a decent bar area with seating or there is more ‘restaurant’ style seating further back beyond the bar. We chose to sit in the bar area seating which is a mixture of booth and chairs. Dogs are allowed in which is great, there is free Wi-Fi which is good as my mobile signal was very poor. The menu is standard pub food, quite a bit of choice and plenty of options for gluten free. I chose to have the fillet steak cooked medium, I had a starter of garlic bread but chose for it all to come out together. Mother had beef brisket loaded fries, the portion was massive so I had to help her finish it. The steak was perfectly cooked, I chose to have the peppercorn sauce; this was a bit watery and bland. The steak comes with chunky chips, peas, mushrooms, tomatoes and onion rings. For dessert I had the nutty apple crumble with ice cream, it was okay. Overall this is a great venue with acceptable food, friendly staff and awesome decor that will keep you talking and looking all night. Based on this experience I would visit again."
