"On the spur of the moment, we decided to visit the Three Horseshoes. There was plenty of places to park, always a big plus and we were very impressed with the work that has been done to the garden since our last visit. It was quite busy in the front bar, although we didn't see anyone eating. We sat in the small back dining room. There wasn't much atmosphere but at least we could look out over the garden in the rain. The friendly barmaid took our order and we both decided to have the homemade chicken and ham pie. We had a bit of a wait for it to arrive but we didn't mind because it was delicious and the fresh vegetables were perfectly cooked. Neither of us are particular fans of red cabbage, but the red cabbage at the Shoes was really good. We will definitely be returning but probably in the summer when we can sit in the lovely garden. Maybe there is a bit more atmosphere in the evenings or on Sunday lunchtime."

Visited the pub today for lunch with my two girls and Dad. Lovely location, quiet pub garden with plenty of room for children. Food was fantastic, prawn jacket was perfect with loads of prawns. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to visit again!! View menu

Popped in for a spot of lunch on Friday and what a lovely time we had (party of 2). Food was excellent, I had the scampi and it was delicious and hot. The service was impeccable and the atmosphere delightful. A good old fashioned pub which is spotlessly clean. Will be going along again really soon.

Pub empty but very slow service. Prawn sandwich served with the most stale bread I have ever seen, totally inedible! Prawns had hardly any Marie Rose sauce so we’re pretty tasteless and dry. The only edible part was the very small salad! On top of the awful food both myself and my elderly mother had diarrhoea for two days! Will never be going back! View menu

Six family members took Mum for Sunday lunch at 'The Shoes ' for her 88th birthday, the food was excellent and such good value for money, the traditional roast was one of the best around here and the 2 that had alternatives to the roast found their meals just as good. We had the room at the back which was perfect for our little celebration and the staff were friendly and welcoming as ever. Mum not normally easily pleased loved it and said it was one of the best lunches she had eaten, praise indeed !!! Would highly recommend and we will obviously return. Thank you
