"After arrival on on time, we were shown to a table. We then joined a que of about 20 other people all waiting to get Thier food. After about 15 minutes a person attend d and proceeded to carve out he meats. When I inventually got to the vegetables there were no mashed potatoes, sprouts, runner beans. Eventually these came. Then all the sauces were empty. Again had to ask for these to be filled. By the time I got to our table my food was cold. All for £43.00 for 3 people, With the floor in front of the food counter was covered with food as it had not been cleaned. The general condition of the premises was untidy and dirty. We will not be returning."

Have been to the Toby many times and have always enjoyed the food today was a celebration for hubbys 81st birthday the family really enjoyed it

Love this place only time I enjoy a roast and the staff are awesome there is no rushing you to eat and drink quickly to move out staff are there to help not to rush you out x

Excellent food and excellent service. Really enjoyed the food and our server was nice. Roast potatoes in beef drops, what is not to like? Very good price for two courses. Will be back soon.

The service was as usual excellent, very disappointed in the portion of 2 small pieces of meat had to fill up on the vegetables, to make a reasonable lunch. Vegetable selection as always excellent, as a carnivore I like my meat

On arrival we were brought to our precooked table by a very polite young man He took our drinks order quickly and politely. The food was very good. A good selection of vegetables and meat cooked for perfection Definitely recommend

Service was excellent waitress Beth was extremely helpful cheerful and professional. The only downside was we had to wait for gravy and by the time we sat down to eat the food had gone a bit cold mum likes her food piping hot. Everything else was perfect

Serving area was messy , food not replenished without a wait sometimes quite a while. Meat had nearly run out, asked for lamb which was very near the bone, I'm sorry to say it was ineadable. Really disappointed I love my toby normally. They must know how many bookings they have so they can make sure there is enough .

Booked a birthday table for 5 no pork was out and was told that pork would be out at 6!! Then within 20 mins of complaining about this.they brought pork over to the table by this point the party had all eaten their food. Beef was chewy as well veg was cold never going here again Don't let people book tables if no meat is available!!.
