"Sadly the whole experience was disappointing , the chefs table was missing quiet a few items that were not replenished no prawn cocktails and no chocolate muffins to mention only 2 lines we waited about 25 minutes for the mains after finishing what starters were available . I had to ask 2 different members of staff for plates for the starters and the room was packed with people shouting as they watched the rugby which is fair enough but not the environment you want to be eating food with children feeling quite threatened by all the shouting . Have previously enjoyed the whole experience but have never been there when a major sporting event was on . Not a great time with a lot of hassle to get a below average dining experience. Have always told friends and colleges how good the village is but feel somewhat different now ."

Food and service was great as usual. Went with a small group of friends who all enjoyed their time there. Only negative was that the music was blaring and forced two members of the group to leave. It was about 7pm and the middle of the week. Totally unecessary for the volume but other than that it was a good experience.

There was not a gluten free menu. The waitress didn’t know what had gluten in. My roast Was made gluten free by just having turkey and vegetables. The vegetables were so under Cooked they were inedible. A disaster, will never go again, very poor. I am a member of the Gym so it would be so convenient to eat there regularly.

Not a restaurant as I remember previously, ok for pub grub but when we booked table it was reserved online but was not done when we arrived, table was put in middle of floor and as a football match was on was not ideal as very noisy. Food was good though so no complaints with that but would not choose again to celebrate an occasion there.

Booked to go to village hotel because advertise as carvery as we had been there several times before . First it wasn’t a carvery as advertised then starters very little choice and nothing for young children to choose, main course you had to order at bar and desserts was a choice of breakfast pastries or yogurt which to me is not a Sunday lunch or brunch . We will not be going back there again , it was very disappointing.

Nice hotel, rooms are good, bed comfy, bar/restaurant was abit noisy, as it has alot of big screens around it, and with either football or rugby it can get very load!!! We sat out in reception area for abit as it was just to load in bar area, when rugby had finished some of the noisy people left and it became bearable!! Could have done with some more staff and tills that wouldn't keep crashing! Breakfast was nice and quiet and laid out well, think they had staffing problems as some staff didn't turn up in the morning. Over all good hotel and not bad price, oh and the food was good..
