"Had to ask for the table to be cleaned when we sat down as it was dirty from the night before! Food was lovely but nobody asked if we wanted a pudding or a coffee. We had to go up to the bar to pay as nobody came back to us. Didn’t seem to have many staff on as the last time we came was New Years Eve but that was worse. Not sure if I’ll be hurrying back but the Trout has always been a family favourite and a meet up place."

The terrace bar was closed and abs zero atmosphere in the hotel restaurant, food was good though, but won’t be back until the terrace is open. Also very pricey food and drink, a pint of lager wow London prices. quid for a sweet.

This is a lovely hotel with a really nice ambience and decor. Very comfortable for a night out having a meal with friends. The food, while on the pricey side, was excellent. I can highly recommend the Fisherman's Salad and the Salt and Chilli chips, and the hand cut chips. Delicious. The staff were really friendly and efficient too. I would definitely go back.
