"I gave 4 but id say 3.5. We were met by a friendly waitress who showed us to our seats. Once sat down it took about 10 minutes for someone to ask if we'd like drinks and I we were ready to order. Nothing major at this point really. Maybe a little longer wait to be asked than normal but it was busy so I was cool with it. We ordered a starter and drinks. It took 15 20 minutes for the starter which again fairly acceptable, however it was at this point we only received our drinks. The starter tasted good though so kudos to the guy/ gal in the kitchen for that. We ordered our main. This took about 25 minutes... again it was busy and was to be expected. But not once were we seen to by the front of house team for drinks until the main came. Again the mains were good, another kudos to the guys in the kitchen. Steak was good perfectly. We enjoyed the meal, however the service let it down tis particular night. Looking around many other seemed a little fed up with the wait and not being seen to. I'm not one to complain really, specially in a busy restaurant but I do think it's important to try and check in with customer ever now and then. All in all, I'd come.back again in the hope of even slightly better service."

During our stay at the Premier Inn next door, we dined at Bar + Block. It was a lovely restaurant with delicious food and helpful staff.

I would give this restaurant a 5-star review if it wasn't for the fact that our order got lost. The food was tasty and they made up for the mistake by giving us free desserts for everyone at our table of 5. The prices are mid-range, with mains averaging around £14. The parking is great and the atmosphere is nice.

This is an excellent spot for lunch, and the Corona beer on draft was fantastic, served in the right glass as well. The food was delightful. I want to give a special shout-out to our server, Lindsey, who was incredibly professional and attentive to all our needs. She was very friendly and offered some great recommendations. View menu

A group of 22 of us went to the bar and block last night for our annual Christmas party. Everything about the evening was very enjoyable. The food was lovely and came out in good time and together. The service was great nothing was too much trouble, a big thank you to the manager Daniel who organised the evening for us. Such a fabulous evening, Will definitely return.

I pre-booked a table online and received a fantastic 25% off voucher. When we arrived, the restaurant was quite busy, but the waiter was very apologetic about the wait, which wasn't a problem for us at all. Our food arrived without any issues, and I can honestly say it was the best fillet I've had in a long time. The staff were lovely, and the atmosphere was fantastic. I will definitely be returning!

I really enjoyed my experience at Bar Block, despite not expecting to. I stopped in for a quick meal before going to the movies. The food was what I would expect from a steak house, but they had some unique options that stood out (the cauliflower wings were particularly delicious). The service was quick and friendly, although it was early so I can't say how it would be when busy. The atmosphere was great for a Monday evening. I will definitely be returning in the future. Our first time going in July 2021 for 30th wedding anniversary and we wasn’t disappointed, we went as a family of four to celebrate .the food was amazing, staff were great and very helpful and accommodating we asked to change tables for more comfortable seats ,ones for my disabled daughter , hence we did go about 5 o’clock not busy at all , we were apprehensive on going to start with due to really bad reviews when they first originally opened a few yrs now , glad we took the plunge , only criticism is that it’s a luxury as the prices are a bit high

We had an excellent waitress named Emma. The food was delightful. It was quite busy, and the staff seemed overwhelmed, but Emma consistently provided great service throughout the evening. I would also like to express my gratitude to the staff for being accommodating to me and my friend. My friend has some sound sensitivity issues, and Daniel was exceptionally understanding. The service was fantastic, and the food was outstanding! With their 25% discount for signing up, it’s hard to beat the quality of food you receive. Overall, it was a wonderful experience! Highly recommended!
