"we had to bob on this Sunday and went to bert, the waiting queue was quite long, but still much space. we waited for half an hour to eat our only to find that the ticket had not gone through the kitchen....The staff offered a refund that was good, but when the food finally came, it was definitely not worth waiting. the packings looked like they had been thrown together and not as described on the menu. we had also asked for a fresh teekanne, but the staff had only refilled the pot with hot water and not replaced the tee bag. also some workers wore no masks, some who wore them had them around the neck as a neck warmer. we will not return after this experience to bob and berts in porttewart."

we had a buffalo chicken salad and a hello salad. the halloumi salat, the halloumi was similar to mcdonald’s cheese just not so good, humus separated and tasteless, no dressing, ciabatta brot soggy. the chicken salad was not better. whoever that was together has... although no care or attention to what they do would never have allowed to leave the kitchen. terrible. after ordered eating, the family was almost half an hour on eating with hot drinks cold. After we checked the progress of our meals and let them know that it was quite long ago, it was obvious that our food was sitting on the table. the counter inappropriate. the waitress then brought the food down and had a very bad attitude and said that she smiled when she left that it was only 20 minutes. our drinks were cold, and the experience made a bad taste in our mouth. poor.

Myself and my two kids went to the portstewart one this evening, as per usual the cutlery was disgusting so i took it back the one of the staff to get clean ones, another member of staff asked was i looking for something and told them that the cutlery was filthy and whole tub of it was dirty. They then took all the cutlery away to maybe to wash it. They brought me back fresh cutlery but it was as bad as the first ones even the drinking glasses where dirty. This place need a deep clean and new glasses and cutlery. I wonder what behind the kitchen is like and even where the bins come onto the footpath the dirt is horrendous. Wont be back Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

"Visited lost Found in Portstewart last Friday afternoon for some lunch. Checked the outdoor menu which stated food served until 3.30pm. Went ahead on inside. Started to briefly read the menu at the till as aware from previous visits that you order on arrival yourself at the counter. Was told by the female counter staff that we had 8 minutes to place our order and to take the menus to the table. We did this. Then when we said excuse me to the same member of staff, from our table, that we’d like to order, we were told we had to come back to the till. This made no sense whatsoever. From the moment we stepped in and were told that we had 8 minutes to order should have been the red flag I guess. Friday afternoon, not long till closing, they just didn’t want to be bothered prepping two rounds of food, The two members of staff in the premises had the worst attitude and no ounce of personality to be in the role that they are in. Every thing seemed to be a complete bother. May I also add, the food was very skimp, re portion sizes plus they seem to care more about the presentation than the food itself re the logo branded paper underneath the food. Try attempting to cut sourdough bread on this, not easy unless you want a mouthful of paper. Then when it comes to hot drinks, no sugar or milk provided. Yet again had to approach the till and ask for these to be provided with milk in a paper cup yet another couple had a glass jug of milk on their table (less dishes to wash I guess) and no white sugar at all, had to make do with brown sugar for tea. When asked for refills of hot water we were given a half full glass of this and then when asked for it to be filled up, yet again a whole botheration. Oh and don’t even get me started on the toilet facilities. Dingy to say the least. The premises in portstewart should never have reopened when it did as Lost and Found, previous owner/cafe was far more superior in all ways. Will not be back"
