"We went to this restaurant for dinner. It is a typical French brasserie. The food is good, hearty and traditionally presented rather than daintily sprinkled on your plate! The service as expected was very efficient yet unobtrusive. The prices were reasonable for one Michelin star restaurant. I like this restaurant because you can get good food in a very relaxed atmosphere no table cloths, mosaic floor, wines by the carafe/pichet. The downside is that the wine by the glass list is very limited so if you are the only person who drinks, there is not much choice. Otherwise, the wine list is good."

We had Christmas lunch at Chavot. They made a wonderful fixed lunch, including a turkey based main course, followed by sticky pudding. All things considered, the price was rather reasonable.

Excellent food in a cosy and elegant atmosphere. Rich flavours with a spotless presentation. Try to leave space for the dessert but it's going to be hard with the main courses. Waiting to see the new address of this great chef.

This is amazing, the lunch menu is so competitive in price and excessive in terms of quality. Even better, have a drink first in the polo bar next door and then have lunch. The soft shell crab was amazing! Definitely another booking is due! View menu

Very welcoming, delightful waiting staff. The food is of an excellent standard, very well cooked! Only slight negative is the wooden platters that some of the food is served on......they are too gimmicky and just not needed. We had a wonderful evening!

Best we had was the tiger prawns and the veal blanquette with riz pilaf. For dessert chocolate and pistachio pot de creme with Tannat dessert wine from Uruguay. The staff are highly knowledgeable. Everything was impeccable. Impressive! It really deserves the 2 Michelin stars.

Maybe our expectations were too high but a 1* in Mayfair with prices to match does raise expectations. My wife and I dined here on a Friday night and it was all very average, apart from the prices. Maybe I am missing something because there were a lot of French speakers there but for us the dishes just did not fire the imagination. Its a nice room with efficient staff but we wanted more View menu

Visited here for lunch (a la carte instead of set lunch)Overall, food service and ambience was good.Charged for bread and nuts which felt a bit unusual but this wasn't forced on us and we knew we were paying for them. One person got a dessert which was slow to come but restaurant kindly gave us this for free.Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant. It looks really nice inside but feels more relaxed which is a good thing.

The food here is exceptionally good. My wife ordered the snails as a starter, and instead of the usual garlic butter, it came in a sauce with meatballs which was amazing. The waiter recommended the duck for main course. Normally I wouldn't go for duck, but so happy I followed his recommendation, since this must have been the best duck I ever had. Only minor point is that service shows some French arrogance, but with this kind of food I can easily forgive them for that.

"The decor of the restaurant is really lovely. We were greeted as soon as we arrived. We placed our orders quite briskly. We received complimentary bread and olives, which was a nice touch. Our Bruchetta starter arrived a whole hour after we arrived, which was disappointing and far too long to wait for a cold and easy starter. The menu did not specify that the prawns on one of the bruschettas were raw! The waiter said service was slow because they were busy with Uber Eats and Deliveroo. Clearly not prioritising paying customers, who pay a 12.5% service charge, unlike online customers. Eventually, our main courses arrived. My pasta was only just cooked, so close to being undercooked and hard. They ran out of ricotta and replaced it with the tiniest amount of cheese so I asked for some more. Since ricotta was supposed to be the main ingredient of the dish. The tuna steak was lovely, and the veal could have done with a thinner breadcrumb batter. The sides, chips and zucchini, were £4.50 and very small portions for such a cheap side. So that was slightly disappointing. Overall, the pinot grigio white wine was very drinkable, and they brought tap water when we asked for it. And the whole staff were very polite. It was a shame the service was so slow, and the food could have been better for the price that it was. We also felt it was overpriced for the location it was, zone 2 London and not in the West End."
