The dining experience was wonderful, the staff were excellent, and I can't wait to go back.

The restaurant greeted us warmly and provided excellent service. The food was delicious and befitting of a place that has consistently been awarded prizes. The prices were very reasonable.

First time here today for lunch I was well impressed had egg , sausage black pudding sandwich with there own hand cut chips , best I have ever had , all with great service and window seat , very busy and I saw many other delicious looking food going out to other tables so I will gong back to try them Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We had read good things about Chapter One Bistro and as we were travelling to Whitby we decided to stop off and have a late breakfast. We were welcomed warmly and seated where we ordered coffee and a full English. It was well priced and a very good portion size. The gluten free sausages were exceptional. First time at Chapter One Bistro and we were very impressed! Excellent food and the portion sizes were generous (we were very hungry, had the burgers, and left very full). The chips are outstanding! They also think considerately about toddlers and provide plastic flasks, instead of glasses, so they were not easy to spill. Not many places think about that sort of thing! Will definitely go again.

Rang up at 11:45, ordered 2 plain cheese burgers with chips for takeaway. Arrived at 12:15 and they had only made one, which wasn’t plain. Came back another 20 mins later for the second one as they’d forgotten, which granted isn’t the end of the world, but the burger was small, and the fries were so soggy I didn’t bother. £22 for all this when we can just go elsewhere and get it for under £10. We had a fantastic time during our visit to this restaurant today. The staff was extremely diligent, quick to serve customers, and also took the time to be friendly with everyone. The atmosphere of the restaurant was really enjoyable and it appears to be a popular favorite among many. The attention to detail in the dining area was very impressive.
