Very typical madras cafe atmosphere, smiling staff but not so great food. Just to satisfy the craving of dosa one can go there. Best part was they took good care of keeping the restaurant and it's toilets hygienic.

there with some colleagues and ordered praw chukka, egg dosa, egg dosa with chicken cure, and mutton masala dosa. the food was excellent, probably amplified by me missing house cooked lanka eating. service was fast.

I was here twice. tried chola bhatura, matki kulfi, pfeffer huhn, teufel huhn and dosa. The South Indian restaurant also serves high quality food as Nordic. However, the leti (buttermilk) was really a disappointment that did not order it. View menu

I would rate it 4.5 might not have rated it so high when it was india. but it cannot be more authentic for these small cost in the western country! after 3 weeks cooking you had the chance to eat there. So, it could tend the scaling to him gunsten. still, worth money.

If you're craving South Indian food in London, this is the place to dine at. The ambiance reminds you of a typical Indian restaurant. We ordered Chicken Dosas, Vegetarian Thali and Mango Lassi. The portions were good. I loved the Onion Rava Chicken Masala Dosa. The combination of chicken and dosa go extremely well. Even though I am not fond of Rava dosa, I loved this. The spices in the chicken masala were also well balanced. A good place with tasty South Indian food at reasonable prices. Great for travelers or students on a budget.

The South Indian giant across uk ! They serve cheap and good South Indian food . The only way they attract more crowd over their competitors is because they have non vegetarian options as well . Well as I am a South Indian by birth who has grown up on dosas and idlis , this place was just about okay for me . The food is mediocre and most times their chutney is very very cold . They have the variety and enough taste to cater to the public in general here in the Uk . The cleanliness, service and hygiene is above average as well . I was at other places in channai dosa and liked it a lot, but my experience in the tooting industry was terrible. after the order it took about 45 minutes to get a starter (and the place was not even very busy.) while I was waiting, the people at the table next to me received the wrong court and had to send it back. when my dosa finally came, I was faded and without first review to see if it was the kind I had ordered (cans are folded, so they can not say what is inside without unfolding them first.) There are a monstrous 14 CURRYBONDers eager for some spicy treats! Our venue is nice enough, comfy seats, light and airy. We get some fellow diners filing in throughout the evening creating a nice atmosphere. Venue Score 6.0//10. The menu on offer looks good, and as the name suggests Dosas are prevalent. You could spend the rest of your days sampling the variety of crispy Indian pancakes on offer and many a CURRYBONDer dive in.
