Affordable price for big plates of food! They may need to work on their sitting arrangements though, too crowded.

This is my favourite Chinese restaurant for the food. It reminds me of being in China and there are certainly people who will misunderstand this place and give it a 1 out of 5 rating. If you want an authentic experience and food, this is it. 5 out of 5!

on a weekday ordering a return flight over the phone, waited 2 hours to find that the driver had gone to the wrong address, although I had given a complete address with a postcode. telephoned chows that offered a 1 credit for wasted time and cold eating. so all in all, no idea what the food would have been like shocking customer service.

I have been a regular customer at this restaurant for years and have always found it to be top quality. However, my last few takeout orders have been quite average. I usually travel from the Southside to the West End to dine here, but after my last two takeout experiences in June 2020, I have decided not to return. I am hoping that this is just a temporary issue and that the quality will improve in the future.

Hadn’t been to this restaurant for ages having previously enjoyed it so Booked a table for 3 last night and though restaurant was empty we were offered a table beside the the toilets which we refused. We were then shown upstairs by less than friendly staff. The furnishings can only be described as grotty and no atmosphere at all. Food which is double the price of the ‘lets eat’ menu was ok but again served by fairly reluctant staff. We then had to go downstairs to ask for bill and advised that they only take cash so had to run outside for a cash point. Would most definitely not recommend this restaurant for anything other than takeaway! Overpriced and completely uninviting.

I used to consider this Chinese restaurant to be one of the best in 2017/18, but after returning to Glasgow in 2021, I was extremely disappointed with my recent takeaway order from Chow. The beef chow mein was unpleasant, cold, tough, and lacking in seasoning. It appeared as if a bag of frozen vegetables had been hastily thrown into a wok with some noodles and thinly sliced beef added as an afterthought to justify its £8 price tag. The fried rice was average at best, nothing special but at least edible. The curry sauce was thin, the chicken balls were soggy, and the prices were higher compared to other Chinese restaurants in the area. I would strongly recommend avoiding this place and taking...

Having eaten in Chow several times in the past, my husband and I decided to return this weekend after a gap of a couple of year. We were so disappointed. When we arrived we were shown to our table downstairs. The faux leather chairs were so torn and cracked that I needed to put my jacket down so my dress would not get ruined. The filing cabinet on full show was overladen with papers, boxes and open plastic containers with bits of fruit! Two cold plates were put down in front of us and then the meal arrived in badly chipped bowls. I ordered the satay which was four skewers of chicken, no onions, peppers.... bland looking to say the least. The constant flow and queue of people standing around...

I have been using this restaurant for takeout on and off for years. I don't like writing negative reviews because I understand that it is someone's business and livelihood. However, the poor customer service unfortunately led me to write this review, along with an order that should not have been sent out. After waiting for 1 hour and 20 minutes, I called the restaurant to inquire about my order and was only told how busy they were...no apology or acknowledgment of our wait. I was even asked if I wanted to come pick it up. Finally, 2 hours later, the food arrived...cold, dried out, and overly spiced. This wee place is a gem of a find when we were travelling home from a road trip on the east coast. After searching on trip advisor we thought we would give it try having not eat Chinese food for a while. Boy are we glad we did! Been here a few time now in the past year and are happy to drive up from Kilmarnock to do so. Admittedly it isn 't much to look at and is tired in terms of decor with worn seats and chipped crockery, staff aren 't the most chatty and sometimes you feel they don 't have time to see to your needs especially if your sat up on the mezzanine, that being said the food does all of its talking.
