"after a fabulous eating holiday in wales there is nothing I wanted more than some delicious, vegetarian Indian food. spice was what we were all and southall was on the way to home. southall is located a few miles from the airport heathrow and houses the largest Asian community in london. the neighbourhood is mainly sikh and the roads are full of gurdwaras, tempts, shops and amazing food. for me, a trip to southall always includes a visit in the gurdwara on havelock road and a delicious meal in delhiwala. this is a family tradition that has been strong for many years. delhiwala is a pure vegetarian restaurant in the king street (the “other side of Southall”, away from the bullshit of southall broadway. Delicious, house style punjabi food is their speciality but they also have South Indian and Indian Chinese dishes on the map. it's about eating here and besides two television screens that radiate the latest Bollywood hits, there's really no ambiente. first was papri chaat, which was wonderfully crispy, creamy, spicy, tangy and everything else, at once. brilliant and satisfying, as always. chana bhatura screams punjabi comfort and is a stack delhiwala order. they make a great job with the tasty cherry curry, the fabulous tastes with the softest, fried bhaturas and a delicious pickel. yum. it didn't end there. rajma was next to a delicious kidney beans curry, which is a favorite in every punjabi home. it was the first time that we ordered this court here and it was wiped with some tandoori roti and an order of windshield wiper (tree cheese parantha for the little one. da delhiwala also a large selection of Indian mithai (sweet, dessert was disappointing. the gajar ka halwa (carrot pudding was overheated, almost burned, and the kulfi (indian ice cream was not worth the calorie. disappoint, but I can live with it because the rest of our food was delicious. delhiwala is my favorite place in southall for eating authentic, house style punjabi. very recommend a way around to delhiwala southall the next time they drive past heathrow with a serious Indian spicy. P.S. we also picked up a greedy ride to dinner."

Street food like Bread pakora, kabab , bhalla Papdi , golgappas etc were awesome. But Chole bhature definitely which I won't recommend anyone.

Used to be an excellent place but standards have gone down. Last two visits have been very disappointing. Dal, saag, kadhi all very bland and not properly cooked.

possibly the best cholleh patooreh. .in city, a great claim, but ate in most southalls restaurants I really think these youngs have it right. as regards the appetizers, the disc runner is the one to go.

I think this restaurant is now under new management but I may be wrong. The restaurant has been updated making it modern and inviting. Food has been and still is very delicious. Presentation really good too!

here countless times to eat the best prantha’s in london. others then that, they have bundles of Indian spicy food that is worth trying. what I think is an upgrade is equipment and furniture. I personally like this place very much.

Delhi Wala is a vibrant restaurant situated on King Street, Southall. The menu delivers a sumptuous assortment of vegetarian Indian dishes. The chats are yummy. The paneer sizzler was great. In the main course we tried chole bhature and assortment of parathas. The parathas have authentic north indian taste. The desserts are very good as well. If you like north indian cuisine this one is for you.

This place is true to its name. I’ve tried several dishes as Delhi Wala and each and every one of them has been spot on. My favourites are the Aloo Paranthas and Cholle Bhature. As much as a trek Southall can be from Central London, it absolutely is worth it. You will be spoilt for choice, whether it’s the starters or the dessert that you’re trying to decide for. Asking for any specials is always a good idea!

Called in today to get a take away, wish we had carried on walking!! Fact that every table was empty on a Saturday afternoon should have given us an inkling. Ordered veg curry and mushroom Korma both disgusting full of mostly green peppers and the Korma nearly blew our heads off the huge amount of spice was obviously to disguise the fact that it was decidedly off. We will never go there again and will encourage all our friends and family to avoid it, had the restaurant have been open when we ate they would have had it back all over their filthy tables and chairs.

Lovely food, (I had saag n makki ki roti with lassi .. Oh and some tangy crunchy aachaar. My daughter had some gobi (cauliflower parathas.. Perfectly made , piping hot freshly cooked to order (you can ask 4 adjustments to spices etc and with just the right amount of goodies inside it. Its been fairly recently 'ish refurbished nicely too . The Persian style 'chumchums ' (always found that word funny are delicious little clouds of yumminess that just melt in your mouth.. No exaggeration!!! (try just one and you will knowwww tho I defy you to stop at JUST one! I confess I gobbled three.... THREE! Kinda 'chain ate ' ..
