"Ideally located in Beynac, a few steps from the Dordogne, in this beautiful village of Beynac and Cazenac, this small stone hotel, with ancestral walls, will welcome you without chichi. The rooms, not very large but cozy, are well appointed. Beynac is the ideal place to install and then radiate in all directions, to visit this sublime region, discover the 5 or 6 castles of the region, the remarkable gardens, Sarlat nearby, and also the whole valley of the Vézère, and its exceptional prehistoric sites and museums. The hotel is a part of the year under the responsibility of Nathalie... Ha, Nathalie, the joy of living, which in daily life puts a sacred atmosphere in this small community of privileged customers who never fail to form, for little that you stay a few days. She alone makes you want to come back to enjoy her good mood. She speaks several languages, knows all about this region and can need you. And in the morning, at breakfast don't forget to taste the nut cake... a feast. Thank you for this really nice moment in your company. What song did you start this morning by taking you in the mail, for the greatest fun of your hosts?"

for the hotel: nice staff, small but cute room, tiny shower room and a simple shower curtain. Inundation impossible to avoid. for the restaurant: correct but no more. not convinced by the yellow or purple flower cabbage. desserts are only mountings (industrial pie background.) View menu

The welcome was warm and very well organized. The impeccable room with a beautiful view of the village of Beynac and Cazenac. Attention, we paid the parking lot before learning that the Hotel Pontet provides a paper to not pay; So think about going to the hotel before paying the parking lot! The wifi worked well on the computer but some difficulties connected to the phones.

Very well placed hotel close to everything: pharmacy, post office, souvenir shop, restaurants, tobacco office, and medical practice. The welcome is very warm. The room as on the site, clean bedding is very comfortable and clean, pillows as well as sanitary. A very useful information pouch. Connection to the wifi. Breakfast is very rich and varied. The coffee has very good taste and in very good volume. Very nice of my choice. Security at the hotel. The environment is beautiful. I strongly recommend this establishment with refined décor. We really feel comfortable. There are many places to see and to visit in the corner and around Cathy

"Overall average experience at the restaurant which is disappointing considering the price level. Food was a 4/5 but service was average at 3 and atmosphere/ambiance was poor at 1. Food presentation was a 5. Foie gras and cheese plate were average which is surprising for the region. Risotto with a supplement was not worth the extra money. Scallops, goose breast and chocolate dessert were great. Service was average mostly because the waiter and waitress would drop and run. I ordered wine pairings and I can not tell you what wine I had as they poured and ran away. As for the poor atmosphere/ambiance, the lighting is way too bright. You need sunglasses. Dimmers need to be installed to create a more intimate/romantic environment. Lastly, there was a table of 7 sitting next to where we were seated. 4 adults, 3 children. The parents allowed the youngest of the three to ruin the evening of many patrons as the child was permitted to run freely throughout the dining room. From one end to the other with multiple stops at our table. When the child wasn’t running he was whining at the table as he demanded to be free to roam. The parents may have thought it to be cute but this was not the place for them or their misbehaved child. The wait staff never even acknowledged this with us during service or even when we were paying. This was the ultimate disappointment as it would have been appreciated had they at least mentioned it or offered an after dinner drink as a way to express their thanks for us having to be seated directly next to the inconsiderate family."
