"We arrived on 30.08.31, booked dinner for 6.15pm (first sitting full at 6.00pm) after traveling 250 miles we were looking forward to a nice dinner. We looked at the soup and thought is that the first course, had some, not very exiting. The main course offered just pork, (it was okay, almost hot) hard stuffing balls, cold carrots, cold green beans and blackened potatoes swimming oil cold oil. Picked through the potatoes. Veggie options, now quite sure what that was, bits of pasta in a red sauce. Now for pudding, well it was tinned fruit salad or sandwich sponge, take you pick out of two sponges. Nearly forgot you could add a very thin cream. No cheese and biscuits, no orange juice. Also you are only allowed to drink water at the table. Cancelled Friday night, but added friends for dinner at 7.00pm on Saturday. Fingers crossed everything would be okay. Well, soup did not even smell inviting, meat, pork and beef, (very good and hot) no stuffing balls or Yorkshire puddings. Same blackened potatoes, cold carrots and the cauliflower so cold is was inedible. Pudding, well, we were lucky as there was enough cheese cake and tinned fruit left for us. All the time we were there no more pudding brought out. Complained to the lady at the desk, said the food was awful and was told it was the chef. That was it! Came home on Sunday. Breakfast for all three mornings was also very poor, just no variety, and barely warm, think they forgot to actually cook the scrambled egg on the Saturday morning, not a mushroom in site, and as for coffee, help your self to a tear off packet, just like the bedroom. So sorry to write this as we have stayed at the Hotel and eaten here for so many years, that I feel it should be noted that it has gone so down hill. Also so very embarrassing to bring friends for dinner in a beautiful setting to be offed such awful food. Suffice to say due to the attitude of the staff, both in this restaurant and the Hotel, I cannot recommend that you should stay here,or eat here.. If you have not seen the restaurant area, it is beautifully set out, it is airy, the lighting is good, the chairs are comfortable. What a shame to food does not compliment it. I am afraid that I will not stay here again until both the Hotel and Restaurant get their act together and produce the experience we have been used to when staying in the wonderful building. Thank you"

Food was hot… a big plus for me. Need more table staff and staff do need to keep an eye on the desserts as they were often all gone

Very busy at all times, try to avoid coach tour block table bookings. Staff were very helpful and advised quieter times. Food plentiful and always fresh and hot.

Ate here whilst staying at the hotel, is not in the same league as the Al A Carte restaurant but still food was well presented meat was cooked well and could help yourself to as much as you wanted. View menu

A low cost option for breakfast or a carvery dinner. Reasonable quality. Can become busy and staff are quick to clear tables and move you on. No bar service available in the restaurant though. Not high on sophistication but perfectly acceptable.

Staying in the hotel arrived late on Friday following long drive hence decision to eat here. 3 course carvery for £15 soup nice but just warm meal dried up left overs and the desserts were the same. Save your money walk to the village 5 mins and the choice of restaurants is great

Basic carvery as part of a coach trip. Soup thick and floppy, 2 choices of fatty meat, vegetables bland and cold. Not enough staff to keep an eye when food needed replacing so often stood around waiting. Frozen deserts and thin cream. By night 3 could not face it again and ate out. View menu

Stayed at Bosworth Hall Hotel when there was a wedding on. We waited for a table for nearly 20 minutes, to have a buffet style breakfast. Which I consider is poor value. We were also disappointed with the evening buffet meal on the previous evening. This restaurant is far too small for the number of hotel guests..

Went to Jennys breakfast as part of Groupon break at Bosworth Hall. Arrived 9.40 as they “serve” till 10am. Was immediately told by “Lyn” we’ve laid for dinner now you have to be out by 10!! The other staff were pleasant and appeared embarrassed by Lyn as she slammed crocks and raced ahead of us to clear the buffet. Lyn needs retraining or removing.

"Such a real shame, this place used to be amazing and we loved going! Unfortunately after visiting recently for my partners birthday we had a terrible experience, awful service, food OK but not like it used to be (might have just been OK due to how long we had to wait and how hungry we all were) we arrived and we’re placed in the conservatory type room, it was EXTREMELY loud you couldn’t hear yourself think! With two elderly people in the family it was difficult for them and none of us were able to talk to each other therefore I asked the waitress if there was a possibility if we could move as the noise was just too much! There was a table sat next to us a group of girls who was just having a good time and we knew it wasn’t there fault for being loud but due to how the conservatory was built the noise just echos so everything sounds much louder.. the waitress then after speaking to us when straight to the table and started whispering whilst they all turned and looked at our table it made things so AWKWARD! None of us could then relax, the waitress did then come back and say another table had become available in the main building so we did move. Then the food well my dad is type 1 diabetic and it just took so long when we challenged how much longer it would take (as at this point we were so hungry and dad very low) the waitress did nothing more than print off the receipt and slap it on the table with our food and say look ‘only 40 minutes from placing the order’ no apology, no nothing. We were gobsmacked! Some of the food was just OK, some not great and when feeding back to the staff with specific details on why we weren’t happy they were very defensive again we got no apology. After spending over £200 in there, we got no recognition that we were really unhappy with our experience and some meals were not even touched. Unfortunately I won’t be going to the place ever again, and for future feedback I would be ensuring staff are trained on how to deal with negative feedback complaints appropriately."
