"Upon the many positive rating we wanted to give it a try as both of us LOVE sushi. I called on Saturday afternoon to make a reservation for the evening and the restaurant was already booked out. Then I asked if I could pick up the food myself and I’ve been told that it’s not possible as they have to many orders already...Ok accepted. Next day (Sunday) we went there without reservation as it’s normally a quiet day for the business. We were there one hour before closing and they run out of RICE! so no sushi anymore...Then we ask for a soup and we’ve been told that they also run out of noodles!!! Come on this gotta be a joke I thought. How possibly a sushi place can run out of the basic ingredients??? This is just to bad sorry..."

No, this ain't your regular sushi/teppanyaki place, but this is the best place in Augsburg to get authentic Japanese cuisine.

we were two in the Kurofune. the order was taken by very friendly staff and successively brought to us the table. we had riceballs, sushi, fried chicken meat a Udon soup and a bento box with fish variations. it tasted super fresh! we are coming back in definitiw!

almost 1 year is baba san now aktiw and has a fast growing fanciety. the dishes are authentically prepared and really very good. next to sushi and onigiri there are alternating dishes in the bento boxes.Reservation in the evening is recommended. my favorite is the curry udong, overwhelming

the curofune is a bit hidden but worth every trip. in a second-to-date ambiente made of wood, leather and glass, it can be easily plaid without the otherwise usual asia kitsch. to choose from is a variety of Japanese dishes, which are prepared and tastefully prepared. my tipp: order a variation from suppe, edamame, filled pork and sushi. every dish is a taste fireworks that you should not miss.

The locality was a bit shabby and as we were told was apparently just overtaken by the previous owner (a cheap bistro . The food was okay however not the best you can get in Augsburg. The service was friendly, yet, extremely unprofessional. We didn't receive soy sauce for the sushi, the waitresses (German?! could not explain the menu to us, the main courses came with a 30 minute difference, the serving was a bit clumsy, etc. Delivery service is a mess and in this way not feasible. This place has the potential to be very good, but if you want the best Japanese food so far, just go across the street to Manyo.
