"the menu is ally and long. in these covid times the tables are well spaced, nothing to say. no animation of course but we would have liked a musical background to put a little festive atmosphere. The dishes are good but no more, the foie gras did not leave me an imperishable memory, as to the roasted deer, tender but without much taste, astonishing for a game. the shell cream is very good but we could have had a little more; well refined cheeses and very good bread. dessert with exotic fruits is sought but very sweet. The service is shipped, without any heat, we feel that we have to finish it as soon as possible, by the way, arrived for us to come out before midnight without having been desired anything for the new year. In fact, an improved, expensive and disappointing meal. I will certainly not go back to a New Year's Eve or a party!"

"We went there by chance needing a quick lunch and thought it was fabulous . They are highly efficient and welcomed us warmly. The restaurant is not huge and we were glad to have got there at about 12 noon. I had the dish of 5 different types of smoked fish on the 3 course menu served with an excellent sauce, a local delicacy and delicious, followed by a small steak served with small roast potatoes and a small salad. The meat was perfect, far better than is normal for a modest menu price and the dish as a whole was excellent. The dessert was apricot tart and very good. The overall price with 2 coffees was 33 euro for 2 peopleThe staff are very friendly , with amusing quotations in the toilet and elsewhere, and we felt very much at home. It is relaxed, packed with locals and no signs of tourists, rapid service of excellent food, and plenty of jokes with the staffFaultless. Can't wait to get back. A new discovery but amongst the best we have discovered."

"On our second visit to this lovely restaurant, we were impressed by the pleasant calm of the dining room, the impeccable service but most of all, the quality of the food. We shared one starter (cold crab and shrimp mousse with crispy vegetables), and then tried the salmon tartare and the Iberian pork fillet as entrees. The tartare was deliciously spiced and more than ample, as was the pork fillet (two hefty slices) served on a bed of sautéed celeriac and mushrooms. Desserts were a dream--a special pistachio financier with raspberries and strawberries surrounded by fine white chocolate mousse, and a sampler of five different tastes (blueberry creme brûlée, apple and apricot crumble, chocolate and caramel mousse, raspberry coulis with vanilla ice cream) proved too irresistible. Cafe came with small truffles--not what we needed but excellent all the same. A good variety of wines by the glass at various prices were available, and we tried a Spanish white unknown to us that was wonderful and fresh. L'Apart provided great meal at a reasonable price for these times. Yes, it is a bit outside of Challans, but directly on the route to st. Gilles, where we were headed--convenient for parking and access."
