"Unprepared I visited this place for lunch. I ordered 2 starters and the first starter with apple and Camembert cheese was delicious. My second starter was a foie gras, people who know me know that this is my favorite starter in France (or anywhere else I can get it). So I was in fact quite pleased by the presentation and the size, until I tasted it... there was really none of that typical foie gras flavor and it just felt like a fat substance in my mouth, hence I shifted the plate aside. It took a very long time to get eye contact with the staff and when mentioning I didn't like my dish she took it to the kitchen. She however came out of the kitchen and continued her regular work...? I was a bit clueless as to whether they would bring a new one, bring it back or nothing at all. Not much later she came to offer the menu, I expected to be able to choose an alternative dish but no, she wanted just to know if I wanted a desert.... completely surprised I asked for the bill instead. On presentation of the bill still nothing was mentioned about my returned dish so I made the bold remark I would happily pay half of the foie gras but not all of it. It directly turned hostile and I was briefly told that whatever I order and get served I need to pay. So bad quality or poor customer experience don't matter. Never have I experienced this, he claimed in complex French it was somehow the law. My 'law' in the hospitality industry has always been that you try to find a solution with the customer that satisfies both parties, which really could be as simple as offering a free coffee, as a demonstration of understanding that even though you may believe in your product, it didn't satisfy the customer. So this ended up in a quite aggressive discussion and I ended up paying to get away, as I was getting too upset. On walking out the staff had the courage to thank me and wish me a happy weekend......... Conclusion: food may be great (depending on what you chose) but this place doesn't care for quality or customer experience."

It's no always easy finding a table for 8 in Paris. Our group was warmly welcomed at Le Seraphin and enjoyed a very nice dinner. Our server was helpful and friendly. The food quality was excellent and prices were reasonable

Went there as a group at the suggestion of our meeting sponsor - the waiter was quite entertaining as he joked with us all night, made us feel very welcome. The food was outstanding, the favorite was the chicken wok. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Walked in late lat night for dinner. Great food. Really fast as well. Loved the shrimp wok. Chicken wok with noodles was great. My daughter loved her Caesar salad. The pork social was delicious as well. Very fresh. We might return for another meal this week! View menu

We were just walking by and this place looked very nice for lunch. A lot of French people were there so that's a good clue that this could be a good experience and it was. We had the gazpacho soup and Caesar salad. The gazpacho was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and wouldn't hesitate to go back.

I found this restaurant last year and decided to visit again this year... and it did not disappoint. The service was great. The food was delicious. My friends and I ate here THREE times on this visit. We enjoyed the Wok (with Prawn), the duck and the Cocotte de cabillaud au curry... it was all great!! The wine selection was a nice blanc slightly fruity. We are pleased.

An expat (US) tour guide recommended I try this place and it did not disappoint. The baked goat cheese salad was so simple and yet surprisingly scrumptious while the sea bass managed to be both bright and savory at the same time. Service was warm and welcoming and the ambience was quiet and romantic. A pleasant surprise hidden beside the Marché Saint-Germain. You should definitely check this one out. View menu

I can sympathise with the previous reviewer and imagine how he may have received this response. However my sister and I had a largely super experience. Good service and tasty food. Not familiar with the wines on offer my sister asked for a Sauvignon. To both of us it tasted like the bottle had been open for a few hours too many, but the offered replacement was also iffy. She was told that she obviously did not like Sauvignon, funny that, it is her drink of choice in the UK. She joined me in the house red and that was fine. Apart from the waitresses's somewhat rude comment, I would not be put off visiting again. The ambience was fine, mostly French customers and the food very good, especially...

Le Seraphin was a wonderful discovery in the heart of the 6th, near St. Sulpice. We dined here twice on a recent visit to Paris and each time found the cuisine imaginative, the service warm and welcoming and the prices quite fair for the neighborhood.I would describe the cuisine (probably inadequately) as nouvelle bistro with a broad touch of Asian fusion. A highlight among the entrees was a poached egg in a sauce of morelles that was exquisite. Two favorite plats: A fillet of cod in a soup-like casserole with rice and some subtle Thai flavors and a wok-prepared dish with prawns that also had a Thai influence. We didn't have desserts, though they looked great. There's a very fairly priced win...
