"We eat here most weeks and went to the previous restaurant too. The food is good and I like the informal dining experience. However, the regular waitress (tall lady, green apron), is incredibly rude and grumpy. We normally laugh to ourselves as she doesn’t acknowledge you, never smiles and has zero customer service skills. Tonight, she served our starters (which had been sat on the hot counter for 15 minutes) and our prawn crackers after our main course. She didn’t speak to us or acknowledge us at all. We are always overly polite and courteous to compensate for her behaviour. We decided that we wouldn’t return again, as I’d rather spend my money in places which appreciate it. Very disappointing as the food is good. You lost a weekly family customer."

Can’t rate this place highly enough! Lovely staff. Great food and excellent value for money. We’ve been for both lunch and dinner and can recommend both!

Lovely Japanese takeout, arrived at exact time of preorder, tried lots of different sushi which was all great and the prawn Miso soup was fabulous. Will definitely order again.

What a gorgeous lunch we have just had and so so cheap. We had the chicken Gyozas which were the nicest we have ever had. I had the Katsu, my husband had the vermicelli and our teenager had the sweet n sour chicken with rice. All amazing. We will be back.

Visited with my 9 Yr old for lunch. We ordered from the lunch special menu (chicken pad Thai and chicken teriyaki) plus some cucumber maki. Couldn't fault it at all. My daughter said it was her new favourite restaurant and is already making plans to go again!

I dropped in for a sit-down meal on a Friday afternoon, but all the tables were occupied. I ended up getting the takeaway Katsu chicken, Miso soup with Wasabi. The service was quick, the food was tasty, and the atmosphere was lively. I'll definitely make a reservation next time.

We came for the 2nd time and were really impressed. This was less than I paid for a recent Chinese takeaway. We had miso soup, Nasi Goreng, pad Thai Tofu and chicken Katsu Don. All were excellent. The ambiance is really good, love seeing them cook the food. Very friendly. Will be back soon.

If you are seeking a friendly atmosphere and excellent customer service, this is not the restaurant for you. My experience here included some of the worst and rudest service I have ever encountered, with the quality of the food not faring much better. A suspicious version of miso soup was served after the meal, and the tempura vegetables were drenched in oil and coated in what appeared to be batter from a fish and chip shop. The katsu prawns were equally disappointing and lacked authenticity. If you are in search of a place with 5-star rudeness, customer contempt, and mediocre food, then this is the perfect spot for you.

Every time we are in Sale, we make sure to visit this restaurant. During our most recent visit, we brought along our eight-year-old grandson. The restaurant has a casual cafe-style atmosphere with no frills. For less than £30, we were able to enjoy three lunch deals, two Coca Colas, a miso soup, vegetable tempura, and fish tempura. I opted for vegetarian and tofu-based dishes, all of which were light, tasty, and served hot. The service was polite and efficient, although there may be a bit of a wait due to the restaurant's popularity. The kitchen is open, allowing diners to watch as the cooks prepare the meals. Overall, it is a great place to dine, even for discerning young children like my g...

"I've been to a couple of different Dishoom branches a few times and have never been disappointed by the breakfast options. The sausage naan roll is excellent. A couple of really tasty vegan sausages with some melted vegan cheese all wrapped up in a lovely soft naan and served with some sort of sweet chilli dipping sauce. My go to now is usually the vegan Bombay. It's a good hearty breakfast plate with... a couple of the same well seasoned vegan sausages. Some vegan tofu akuri a nicely spiced tofu scramble. Some very well cooked mushroom slices (that are maybe a wee bit under seasoned). The baked beans are really nicely spiced, elevating them far beyond the standard sweet sauce fare that's the usual. A few slices of well flavoured black pudding (that could be fried to being a bit crispier). A cooked tomato which is a bit dull, I've never been keen on tomatoes on my breakfast plate and this once has not changed my mind. It could do with some more charring and maybe some spicing. To help you mop everything up, the whole thing is served with a couple of soft bread buns that have been nicely toasted. I usually top the whole thing off with some chocolate chai with oat milk you get free refills for your chai. Unfortunately, it isn't wheelchair accessible. There are stairs up into the restaurant and various small flights of stairs to get to different parts of the restaurant. Updated from previous review on 2024 03 25"
