"I love the Pitcairn Inn...The staff are excellent, really welcoming, friendly and they make the experience of visiting a pleasure... The bar is cosy, a real village pub and atmosphere, the lounge area is excellent but the restaurant.. wow.. keeping the village theme and atmosphere, with solid tables and chairs well spaced out in a thick walled cottage area..then the food!! Never a disappointment, from haggis nachos, brilliant steak and chicken dishes to puddings to die for....Keep room for cheesecake or brown bread ice cream...or combine both!! What a terrific place for food, drink, craic or just a quiet night this place delivers it all.....I'd say go there ..but I don't want it to get too busy!!!"

was last night with my friend to dinner, and that was fantastic. I can't wait to come back. I had a small steak pee and a side of tweebel rings, the tweebel rings were without doubt the best. my friend went for baked squid and the portion size was great. very recommend a visit on a sunny day, nothing beats the sun here soaking.

operated by a charming young couple, this place has an energy and fresh over it. the decor is minimalist rustic, but it remains fresh and clean. I visited on Tuesday to midday and found several people already dining room, so it could be worth booking a table. eating was hot and freshly prepared pissed. the steak pipe gets a good record, but it didn't quite do that I see what you think. I will return.

"Pleasant environment and staff were efficient. I ordered the special ciabatta with chicken and bacon, alongside a flat white coffee. The ciabatta seemed a little on the small side to me, though in observing the other clientele, I was probably a little out of place to be honest that includes my appetite. In my opinion Willows seems more geared towards 'ladies who lunch ', high teas maybe, or cocktails before the theatre. I 'm more of a messy plate of dirty fries with a burger kind of guy... if you know what I mean, and I certainly don 't mean any disrespect with that observation. The ciabatta was good and flavourful. The salad was very good and varied, the dressing was nice and rich too. I enjoyed the coffee and the final price, between 10 and 11 pounds was reasonable and expected. Accessibility wise, there is seating outdoors but there are steps inside to reach other parts of the restaurant. The chairs and tables may turn into obstacles for wheelchair users, particularly solo users, because they are quite close together. I 'd recommend booking ahead to help the staff prepare a good table if you have any accessibility requirements. Personally, I did feel a little out of place at Willows, but that was more of an observation than any true feeling of discomfort. I will keep Willows in mind if I go to lunch with a girl I want to impress, for example, and I 'd definitely recommend it for anyone wanting afternoon coffee, cakes, or a cocktail before the theatre etc."
