"I don’t recommend coming here unless you plan on partying all night. Myself and my partner came for a 1 night staycation on Valentine’s Day. When we arrived we were blown away by the customer service at the front desk and the interiors in the room. When we came back to the room for the night, there was a lot of noise in the hotel from around 9pm onwards. We didn’t mind this at first as it was still quite early in the evening. We were woken up from 3am-7.30am as there was people slamming doors in the hallway, talking very loudly and playing music in the rooms next to us. We were shocked how management could allow this. It sounded like there was 6 people or more in the room next to us drinking and playing music. We came to the dean for a relaxing night away but unfortunately we came home exhausted . We understood when we booked the hotel that there was nightclubs nearby but the issue wasn’t the outside noise it was the noise inside which was insanely loud. I mentioned this at the front desk when we were checking out and they seemed shocked and said they do walks of the hallways during the night but the noise was so loud I didn’t understand how they couldn’t have heard it. They offered to compensate us with brunch in Sophie’s rooftop which we appreciated but we turned down as we wanted to leave. Overall, lovely interiors and customer service but it is definitely more of a partying hotel than a relaxing quiet one. Unfortunately we won’t be back."

Lovely hotel, lovely food. Great staff. But if you're on floor 3 facing out towards the disco don't expect any sleep. Dj plays to 2.30am x 7 nights a Even with the windows closed it feels like he is in your room with the noise. 3 to 4 hours sleep id say

Very pricey hotel but what’s new in Dublin. High quality hotel rooms with tons of snacks, beverages and even toiletries are present in the room/mini bar but if used they will be billed at fairly high prices. Also awesome merchandise available at the reception desk. Cool atmosphere, great service. Sauna pool. Meeting/presentation rooms. Location is a 10 minute walk away from Grafton Street.

Don’t book unless you enjoy waking up to the sound of jackhammering starting at 7am daily. There is a large construction site 3 doors down and the hammering reverberates through the whole block. For €300/night, the rooms leave a lot to be desired. Bathrooms are the size of a postage stamp with no room to set a toothbrush, and that’s in the upgraded Townhouse Super room. Decor is nice, but it doesn’t make up for a seriously cramped space.

Warning if you’re a light sleeper: half the rooms directly overlook a huge nightclub that is open until 3/4am. The sound proofing is not good (they even give you earplugs in your room as standard) and so this is not a hotel for a good night’s sleep. The hotel v stylish and rooms, amenities are very nice. Complimentary gym is excellent. Location good just off wexford st with lots of foodie restaurants. 20 min walk to the v centre of Dublin. View menu

Back again for the wonderful Art Deco ambiance, to have a latte and one of their sumptuous almond croissants. Staff as always are so pleasant and courteous. Nomi is just brilliant at her job and Aaron is professional kindness at it's best. I love this haven of peace just off the hustle bustle off the top of Grafton Street. The photo shows the attention to detail in the presentation and I can say that they make the creamiest latte and their enormous moist croissants are bursting with soft almond filling and generously topped with toasted almond flakes. Enjoy!

For the price of the deal I paid for it was not worth it. The staff were so so friendly could not of been more helpful but the bedroom itself was a disappointment. When we arrived there were ear plugs beside our bed and we didn’t know why but once it turned 10pm we understood what the earplugs were for, because the dean is located beside a few nightclubs it was a very loud night I honestly felt like I was in the night club! The bed was 2 single beds put together it was not a double which made it a very rocky night. Honestly for the price of the rooms I won’t be back :

This is a stunning hotel, the staff are really friendly, the rooms well equipped. There’s a night club next door, and the music was loud so loud that it felt like I was in the club even with earplugs on. If you are staying here ask for an odd numbered room so you aren’t on the same side as Coppers, and avoid the lower floors. They supply earplugs, earplugs don’t help, the night club is obnoxiously loud, and the music doesn’t stop until 3AM. I only managed to get any sleep with noise cancelling headphones playing white noise at near top volume. It’s a shame, I’d have given them 5 stars, but a hotel you can’t sleep in defeats the purpose. Staff was kind and aesthetic was great, but for €400 we got 2 rooms right next to each other on the first floor that were moldy and smelled of pure mildew. I slept with the window open and the heat blasting, but my sister unfortunately didn’t, and she woke up with a nasty cough lasting several days and led to a sickness at the end of our trip. It is beyond me that the staff was cleaning the room before our stay and didn’t flag the room as inhospitable. Whoever cleaned the room prior to our visit clearly doesn’t care about a positive rating for The Dean, and should be fired. Sorry for the harsh review, but the bare minimum for a hotel stay was not met. No one should be sick after staying at a...

Not a good sign when the second thing the receptionist says on arrival is due to location it can get very loud. The service from the staff was outstanding ,they assured us that if it was too much they would do everything to accommodate us. We went to the room, saw ear plugs by the bed, and the night clubs smoking garden right below us. Heavily pregnant, escaping a 1 1/2 year old (that has not been sleeping!!! for the night to celebrate our first wedding anniversary was not the time to be kept awake! I went back and spoke with the receptionist, James, who was so helpful. He stated our room would be known as a loud room and moved us to their newly done rooms 1 door down. And there was zero noi...

"I ordered a cake for my husband’s 50th Birthday having perused their website and deciding on a cake in the shape of the number 50 to mark this momentous occasion. The girl that took my order asked for a message and knowing that space would be limited, I decided on a short message. She asked me whether I wanted a photo which I had not considered due to the design of the cake but then decided to add this also. I paid for the cake. I collected the cake today and to my horror it was simply just a square cake with no 50! This was supposed to be presented at a surprise party tomorrow- I was so upset and shaking on the verge of tears after all my planning and more than two weeks notice. The staff only made excuses, like the person who took the order would not get things wrong, they didn’t do digits anymore, and there was not enough bakers, yet this was on their website and I had given clear instructions- a square cake could be ordered from anywhere- I was also told that digit cakes were much more expensive and could cost around £70??? I told them that I was willing to pay the costs- buying a cake for an important occasion was not a price problem- I was offered icing of 5 and 0 to be placed on either side of the photo and some cheap number candles. I told them I already had a topper and sparklers which were supposed to go on each of the digits- really disappointed with the service and poor excuses- The cake was supposed to be the centrepiece at the party but the order was not fulfilled"
