Amazing find only 5mins walk from the busy high street in Burford. You would struggle to find a warmer welcome, great food in a friendly environment

Such a lovely afternoon spent here. Food was faultless, service was great. We were a party of 9 adults and 5 kids, (they had such a fun afternoon playing in the kids area, they didn't want to leave). Final bill was very reasonable, especially considering the great quality of the food served. Will definitely be back! View menu

We had one of the best Sunday dinners ever! Our son has food allergies, and the staff really went above and beyond to accommodate him, which was truly impressive. The food was delicious, and every course was an experience in itself. Overall, this is one of the best places to dine. Highly recommended! Price per person: £20–30. Food rating: 5/5.

I had an excellent lunch at this delightful little restaurant. They offer outdoor dining, which is a great option, and everything is COVID-safe. The seasonal menu features delicious choices, all freshly prepared and beautifully presented. It's a fantastic spot for people of all ages, and it's also friendly for kids and pets. A big thank you to all the staff. I highly recommend it, giving it a perfect 10/10!

we rode them to reserve a table, asked if we could have a table out of the way we come with our very nervous dog. I did not expect the overwhelming thoughtfulness as soon as we arrived. they offered us a selection of 2 tables that they were not to be out of the way of the customers. eating was excellent and inexpensive and it had a fantastic family atmosphere. will be revisited when in the opposite well done young, View menu

Stopped here for lunch on the way home from Wales with the children and it's that rare gem of friendly for the family but also with really good food, interesting wine and excellent service. Gutted I can't remember the hosts name but again he was a rarity full of charisma and competence in equal measure! Loads of nice touches like the little sketch lining that comes under the small plates, well positioned and decorated plates etc! Look forward to passing by there again and strongly recommend!

I visited the Carpenters Arms with a friend, and we started with prawn toast and whitebait, both of which were incredibly fresh and crispy. For our main courses, we had seabream and mussel chowder, which was the best I've ever tasted. We ended our meal by sharing a delightful apple and blackberry crumble, packed with fruit and served with delicious homemade ice cream. Overall, it was a wonderful lunch. The service, provided by Holly and Kate, was attentive without being intrusive. As for parking, there was ample space for around 25 cars.

We truly enjoy fine dining that doesn’t come with a pretentious vibe, and The Carpenters Arms was perfect for us! The food was outstanding – this place deserves recognition, perhaps even a nod from *MasterChef: The Professionals*. Some of our highlights from the meal included the satay sauce with the chicken croquettes, the confit duck leg paired with potato terrine on the duck breast dish, the crab tart, the homemade bread with butter, the truffle fries, and the delicious carrot cake for dessert.
