The Churchill Hotel

The food was generally fine with the exception of a disappointing eggs benedict. Very tastefully decorated room but not a good view. Well positoned for walking into town and the Minster.

Meal was poor at best though price was extreme for the quality. We had lamb and had trouble finding the morsel on the plate. We ate lamb at several places in the UK on this trip. This was the worst.

I have enjoyed a lot of my dinner here, is located in Churchill Hotel, all very cozy, and there is a large window overlooking a small backyard, that is beautiful. The food was fabulous, better than I actually expected, and all the hotel and restaurant staff were very hospitable. He didn't disappoint me and we waited for a second visit. View menu

We visit this restaurant with friends! We had a night with a lot of staff that flows prosecco, friendly and helpful that didn't care that showing with decorations (including a lot of confeti), as it was a celebration. We all enjoy our meals and have a wonderful time. It was nice that the pianist invited my friend to play (which does very well).

I booked a table for Saturday night after a day at the races as the culmination of a surprise weekend for my husbands 70th birthday I had, I thought, done my homework ,looking for fine dining, and as this venue boasted 2 rousettes I was so looking forward to a lovely meal .What a let down .We had to wait for a while and when the starters came on cold plates ,the main courses were tasteless and uninspiring we left without a sweet . I would not be back

The Piano Restaurant in York is excellent the view is amazing all 4 of us had a greattime and loved the place food Excellent, and the staff were very polite and friendly directed us all to a window view and handed the menu .a great choice to choose from, after choosing we were offered drinks from the Waiterand were served promptly. and the meals was prompt and hot we all enjoyed it.other reviews said they were disappointed . we all can ashore you we were notand we told the staff we will be back. As you stay at the hotel... Breakfasts were chosen by a menu and all the food was freshly prepared and when we asked for the choice was excellent... Very well presented and very tasty... We had two nights in the restaurant... In general, a good choice of food... The presentation was excellent and the food was delicious... In mussels they had as incoming and I am a lover of this dish... However, I can honestly say they were the best I've ever had... The truth is they could prove their sea so fresh... I just read my comment that I had done at this restaurant three years ago and you think I should update my view. Four of us visited a Sunday a few months ago and I don't know if the hotel and the restaurant have changed hands since my previous visit, but it has certainly altered. The bar of glasses checked had disappeared and the restaurant was without the piano, the general atmosphere of the place had disappeared. The excellent staff who had been there for a long time had changed and the service of the new staff from beginning to end was abysmal. A small restaurant decorated in one of the best hotels in the United Kingdom where I stayed. Being late didn't want a full meal and selected two interns. I like dim lighting in restaurants, but there's a difference between the sub and spying on the dungeon I had to hold the menu very close to the candle at my table to see it correctly. 1 Arrangement of pine cured salmon, oysters, whiskey and granite apple. The salmon was very salty and the very small portion. I loved the granite. 2 Arrange pork cheek, onion, gryere cheese and pumpernickel.
