"We visited the restaurant to celebrate our son's 30th birthday, and it was a wonderful experience. The parking lot was bustling, which was a good sign. We were greeted by friendly staff who promptly showed us to our table. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu, and nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them. The food was outstanding—beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The grouse was particularly remarkable, served with a rich sauce, while the lamb simply melted in your mouth. We also enjoyed a delightful sticky toffee pudding, which was the best I've ever had. To top it all off, our son received a lovely selection of chocolates from the staff on a beautifully decorated plate to celebrate his birthday."

Beautiful setting in the countryside. I enjoyed afternoon tea here, and the food was delightful. The staff were also very friendly. Overall, I would rate the service a 5 and the location a 5.

my own and my partner stayed last Friday night and had a wonderful meal. the eating was amazing, so thank you to the cook. I also have to say what beautiful staff they have, but a great mention of zach and helen, who were so attentive to us through our evening, and our experience made very pleasant. I would recommend to everyone to have a meal here.xx View menu

Haven't been for ages and what a lovely evening. Hubby took me for Valentine's treat and only just had a baby felt really spoilt. Food was just amazing. Belly pork for starter beef for main and no room for desert. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the potatoes with the surf and turf. Shame but the rest of the meal was amazing. Fresh bread freshly made on site.

For dinner, we chose the BBQ turbot and a steak, both of which were beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. They were expertly paired with a wine recommended by the staff. We also indulged in the dark chocolate mousse for dessert, which was divine. The staff were attentive and friendly throughout our meal, making our evening truly enjoyable. Thank you for a lovely night; we will definitely be returning!

I spent a very enjoyable afternoon at Redcoats celebrating my daughters birthday. As soon as we arrived we were greeted warmly and looked after by welcoming, attentive staff. The bar was well stocked and had a great selection of Gins. We had a private room with a lovely open fire and everybody enjoyed their food, my only criticism was that the food was just warm, that said it was a lovely experience and we will be back. I only stayed here for one night, but it was a fantastic experience. The staff were helpful and friendly, and my room was spacious, well-furnished, and equipped with everything I needed. The surrounding grounds are beautiful and well-maintained, and the bar in the evening was very quiet and cozy. Our breakfast was fresh and delicious. I really can’t say anything bad about this place. We definitely plan to return soon because we enjoyed it so much!

I went for afternoon tea and enjoyed a delightful selection of treats, including gluten-free and vegetarian options. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. However, I deducted one star because a 12.5% service charge and a charity donation were automatically added to the bill, and I would have preferred to choose whether to include these at the time of payment. Aside from that, everything was truly lovely. Service: ★★★★★ Location: ★★★★★

"Went for dinner here recently. The restaurant is clean and looks good. Atmosphere is nice and tables well spaced. Staff were welcoming and accomodating, especially as we hadn't booked a table. Unfortunately it went seriously even dangerously wrong with the food... When ordering tapas we let the server know that I have an allergy. They provided their allery menu, showing which dishes are safe for various allergies (great! . So we ordered appropriately and repeated the allergy. When our food came out it looked good BUT we ourselves spotted that half the dishes had been covered in what Im allergic to. Fortunately I ate very little before we realised. This is really careless and potentially dangerous for allergy sufferers, as well as causing problems for those with intolerances enforced dietary restrictions. Fortunately my allergy doesn't cause anaphylaxis, so it wasn't life threatening in this case, but mistakes like this could have serious implications. They replaced the dishes plate cutlery and were apologetic, but honestly it was obvious that they didn't grasp how serious this sort of thing could be for others. There was no offer of a discount or a refund on our bill; not that I expect things for free, but maybe for a couple of the affected dishes as a gesture. I had to travel home via train afterwards whilst having an allergic reaction and it took about 24 hours to recover fully. Not fun. So I won't be returning here ever again because I just can't risk this happening. And obviously I cannot recommend to anyone with any allergies or dietary requirements. If you go here and any of your party have any such concerns, be seriously careful. This really isn't good enough in 2023."
