"My son and I have come to this establishment multiple times over the past 20 years and have seen the progress of this restaurant. It has been an upward success. The current land lady and staff are exceptionally good at what they do. The service is fast and friendly. We have only ever waited maximum 15 minutes for a meal and the food is outstanding. They have kept a rustic country pub feel as well as being classy. At the rear, the garden extends to a safe boundary to the loddon river. Although being placed next to a fairly busy road when you make your way inside you will not even notice that to the slightest extent. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Beef Burger, Chicken Burger and Fries with Cheese"

The restaurant does not serve main meals in the afternoon. Overall, I would rate the food a 1, the service a 1, and the atmosphere a 1.

Popped in for a post work pint on a windy and rainy day. Checked out the food for a quick bite but decided to go without. Pint was OK and better than some other locals but it felt more directed towards food as you expect these days. Short term problem, the gents was out of action!! Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Great breakfast overall. Scrambled eggs that my partner ordered weren't great. Looked like an omelette cooked in the sale place as everything else then chopped up, so go poached. But good overall. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free parking lot

I visited for Sunday lunch and tried the rib of beef, which was outstanding. The beef was tender and slow-cooked, effortlessly separating from the bone. The Yorkshire pudding was fluffy and crispy, and the vegetables were perfectly prepared. I returned this week (November 2023) and was served by Lizzy, who was helpful, clear, energetic, and cheerful. I opted for the no-leaf salad with added butternut squash, which was filling and felt very nutritious. I indulged in a Bakewell tart for dessert, which, while not the healthiest choice, was definitely worth it! Price per person: £20–30. Food: 4/5. Service: 4/5. Atmosphere: 4/5.
