"I visited on Friday with my mum and my wife, we got a lovely welcome from your staff it was nice and warm in there,we ordered some drinks which the young lady brought over to the table for me. We looked at the menu which...had a lot of choice on it i went and ordered it i engaged in talking with Jack behind the bar very nice lad easy to talk to, the food arrived which was absolutely fantastic, we had picked my mum up from a nearby care home she felt very comfortable and at ease thank you to all your staff especially jack, on leaving we left a tip we will be coming back again."

on a Friday afternoon on the way to the airport, we thought we had a change from our local wetherspoons. the beer was a little more expensive than spoon the eating also, but eating was 10 times better than all. I was in . will use this place more often

I was took here by family for my birthday, food was fantastic but couldn't believe the size of the challenge I was given, no way could I finish it but steak was cooked to perfection, nice pub but getting to look more like a restaurant...as every table had people eating which is a good thing

for the price they pay the food is nice, the staff is very friendly. a bit annoying that when people go to the garden, they don't come back to the door, they go out, so if they sit close, you will... up and down to open the door, as it would be rude to ignore them. good choice if available. toilets could use a dc.

Absolutely lovely Birthday dinner and a great place for the family to get together. The mixed grill is lovely, the steaks are terrific and the prices are good. If that isn't enough, the guest beer was Maid Marian and lovely. A great evening in a...lovely pub, if you haven't tried it, then give this ace a go, you won't regret it

Excellent value for money. The food arrives quickly and service is excellent. The menu has good choice including a kids menu. Offers are brilliant such as two for one on burgers on a Thursday you can’t cook them at home cheaper. Brilliant selection of flavoured...gins which are always being updated and again very reasonably priced.

So I and my family decided to eat in the restaurant and let them tell them that eating was amazing, the staff was friendly and helpful and always sure that you were eating nice and there was nothing wrong with the sitting areas. very nice and they can go outside if they want. we ordered through the app and it took one because to come here, but that was not a problem. I would definitely recommend to eat here and I will come again sometime!

This was our first visit to The Jolly Scotsman…. meeting up with family members, We gave a 4 star rating overall but could of been a 5* if we had of been acknowledged sooner and asked for our drinks order which took 15mins, Laura and...Daniel who served us were very attentive and knowledgable regarding to the menu choices and helped us in making our selection easier, food was piping hot and very tasty would definitely recommend to our friends.

"Very good. this renovated and updated gastro pub has a beautiful, high-end feeling, without too posh. the personal is pleasant, real and well maintained. good drink selection! music selection didn't seem fit, but not extraordinarily. eating is exceptional, but, based on some personal preferences, there were slightly smaller disappointments with each dish. all were presented beautifully! the scallop starter was perfectly cooked, but there was an unexpected sticky texture on the sea red side. the chilis needed something sweet to balance them, but it was a nice warm pop. the acid from the grapefruit mixed with the petersilie mayonnaise drizzle, but both were delicious. some either flash-frozen or dry germinated greens gave beautiful texture, and the dish as a whole was beautiful. the duck ice starter was rich without being hard. slowly boiled (inspiring sous vide,) the egg was perfect. it was on a bed of slowly baked cheekwange, which is longing! some picking mushrooms have also added beautiful acid contrast. the brioche disc on which everything sat was not my favorite, but again can be personal preference. it seemed too thick, dense and sweet for the court. either would have been a nice sourded or an airy crawling cut my choice. again a very tasty dish. the healbutt main was absolutely wonderful! in butter lubricated, with fennel, white asparagus, a butter sauce with raw and squid-ink pasta. all with dill fronds. only small critique was the toughness of the tips of the braided fennel without knife, which is suitable for cutting through. a unique and very pleasant experience! it was great."
