"Both meals were over priced for what was presented on the plate and lacked seasoning as well as flavour. If you closed your eyes and had a mouthful you would struggle to identify what it was you were eating. A suet pudding, vegetarianvegan or meat option should be light, fluffy and full of flavour with a filling that has texture rather than just gravy and a few bits of extremely small mushroom. The suet crust was so hard giving the impression that it had been microwaved that it was tricky to cut through without making a specticle of oneself or sharing the contents of the dish with my wife sat oposite. Food was very basic and not up to standard expected. Could have been hotter and chips served on wooden platter which didn't help. Wondered whether the food had been reheated rather than cooked from fresh

pretty disappointed, honest. they go on a Sunday afternoon, extremely quiet and they have no Sunday roasts available. a lot was sold out when we arrived at 16:30 a.m., not really acceptable. the personal is not very attentive.

The 'Mall' is both warm and welcoming for all customers.The staff are pleasant and very helpful.The menu caters for all needs, no matter what your dietary needs may be and cheap as well!!Spent a very enjoyable evening and will visit again in the near future

Average food. Quick to serve main meal as we arrived early for Sunday lunch. However, once pub got busier, dessert took a while. As it appeared waitresses or kitchen wished to get all lunches sorted at all other tables before our desserts were dished and served

Young inexperienced staff ,typical mass produced food,obviously a very busy microwave.no service Sunday evening after but no notification anywhere to be seen. Thankfully next door at The Inn Lancaster brasserie,the contrast was significant and yet prices very similar

Saw some bad reviews about the Mall after I had booked the table, but I was actually pleasantly surprised with the place. Staff nice and friendly, the food was hot and tasty excellent chips. Service was fast albeit we did eat early. Overall no complaints at all. Would defiantley eat there again

We were staying locally and needed a table of for lunch Unfortunately only one lady on the both bars and waiting on tables made for lengthy waits for drinks .. and only one chef that’s has to bring meals out ! .. poor service not enough staff on for such a lovely place We waited mins .. we were told prior to booking the waiting time is lengthy Food was good but one meal was missed so my dad had to wait another Sorry service needs massively improving for us to return
