"always and then I and my partner have the chance to come here with our small family, we have a hectic schedule with 3 children between us. the nuts and corpses are a cut above when it comes to quiet family-oriented pubs. the workers know that our faces recognize our booking and even our voting on the phone. all team members we met are friendly, happy, incredibly professional and always take care of the extra mile to check on us and take care of how we need. eating is spectacular for always fresh hot and well presented. concerning me for the quality and portion size, eating is also very cheap and always meets the point. what more can I say if they are looking for family meal a fast drink or even just a coffee with a smile in. we've been here for over two years and will come again and again. with the kindest greetings I can pass on I just want to say thank you in the name of my family they make our weekend that extra something nice thanks! stuart courtney and family"

I have eaten here often and always eat the food and service found average. but at this occasion the food was well presented, piping hot and really delicious. not sure if it was only luck on day (it was a Saturday afternoon) or if they have new cooks and employees? but if they could offer this level of service every time, then I would recommend this place very much for its ambiente (beautiful open fire and comfortable leather sofas), pleasant personal, tasty eating and good value for money. I look forward to my next visit!

this was our first visit and was impressed by the time we arrived until we were gone. the pub was very clean and warm without disturbing music in the background. we found the personal very friendly and professional during our visit. there was a good menu choice that was freshly cooked and sent by an exceptional standard and our compliments were sent to the chef. to combine high quality food at a reasonable price in a beautiful environment. certainly made a impression on my family and will be happy to return in the near future.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! From the moment we arrived, the friendly staff took great care of us and seated us at a cozy table. The menu was impressive, making it easy to choose from the selections available. I ordered the ribeye surf and turf, and it was cooked to perfection. The prawns were succulent and juicy, truly delightful. Everything on the plate was seasoned beautifully and presented well—quite a surprise for a local pub! The prices were very reasonable, and they offer a wide selection of lagers and ales. I highly recommend it and will definitely be returning soon!

We held our wedding reception at tn&s, and it was perfect. I’ve been frequenting this pub since the mid-80s and had only one disappointing meal until about a year ago, after which I experienced three bad meals in a row. There were long waits, and the rump steak was so tough it was inedible, plus some menu items were unavailable. What really frustrates me is the lack of Old Rosie cider; other ciders are offered, but it’s just not the same. Every time we visit, it seems there are different staff members at the bar. On a positive note, Alex has promised a discount on our next restaurant bill, but I never seem to run into him. Hopefully, we’ll book a table sometime in the new year.

"Absolutely average restaurant. Dirty bamboo table mats and super dirty windows, kinda sad to look out of them. Impatient service, who under 6 minutes 5 times came back trying to pressure me to take my order. I was confused as I thought it was a restaurant not a fast food place. Silly me who used to live in Japan though the menu is just like there, with pictures. How wrong I was...So getting my phone to have a look at their website, what kinda different that in the restaurant menu card one. When I tried to ask for reconditions, I didn't get any, she just straight away took the last what I asked. The steamed algae was very nice, but my noodle soup was a big surprise, as I have no idea what's roasted (burned) pepper and massive chunks of onions doing there? It's supposed to be sea food, but instead just some burned vegetables scared with frozen octopus, mussels and mini calamari rings poured up with chicken broth. So yeah, kinda disappointing. Drink wise I asked the waitress do they have any tonic water as it isn't listed on the menu card, she looked at me like I am a weirdo. I asked for Roku gin what is my favourite. On the receipt was counted as an extra pound because Japanese. Lol, no comment. Getting the drinks, from other restaurants you get the spirit on the rocks in the glass and front of you they pouring the mixer drink from the mini bottle. Here not, just straight away together as it comes. Oh and don't bother asking without lemon, because you are getting one either way. So Akasaka restaurant did not become my favourite one. Once and last. Easily can be forgotten. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £20–30 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4"
