Great pub, a few minutes walk out of the centre but well worth the short stroll along the river. Great snug with a wood burner going, really friendly staff. Booked to return this evening for dinner

Popped into the Parrot after visiting the cathedral as had heard great things! We were not disappointed, great history and the character of the pub really shone through! When we are back in the area we will def go again.

This is an excellent traditional style pub. The food, service and ambience were exceptional. I perfect place for a chilled and relaxed lunch, thank you Francis for your great hospitality. Crab Linguine was the best I have ever had.

After a long day, we enjoyed a fantastic meal at this restaurant. The beer and wine selection was excellent, and the staff was friendly and efficient. The bass with samphire was cooked to perfection, delicious, and made with fresh ingredients. Overall, it was a lovely evening.

My wife and I went to The Parrot recently while on weekend in Canterbury. Location is very historic. Multi story with bar on first and restaurant on second. Food was top notch including fish and chips. Excellent service and very pub like. Highly recommend for historic pub with great character.

This has to be the warmest most welcoming pub in the City. We visit Canterbury every 6 months always visit the Parrot. Beer is always well kept there is a very good wine selection. Food is better than pub grub always beautifully presented served piping hot, again the wine list is excellent too. This restaurant is truly a hidden gem. It has a very old, beautiful architecture, friendly staff, great selection of real Ales and nice wines, and a cozy fire adding to the atmosphere. We didn't have a meal there since we had already enjoyed a fabulous breakfast at The Falstaff Hotel, but the food looked excellent. When we explored further and went upstairs, we were amazed by the medieval dining hall. We definitely plan on dining there next time. This place is a must-visit on your itinerary.

One of our favourite pubs! We visited Canterbury last summer and stopped in the Parrot for a glass of wine and loved the look of it. So, when visiting again we decided to take my in laws for a drink. Great selection of wine, beers and a good cider too. The in laws had to get back but we stayed by the fire and had a roast dinner. We thought it was pretty reasonable too! My partner had the beef and I had a nut roast, delish. We wanted a cheese board for after which they didn't have, probably a good job as we were too full anyway!

We had a party of 16 celebrating a family birthday at this restaurant. We booked a table a couple of days in advance and didn't have much time to research other options in the area, so we decided to just show up and hope for the best. We were pleasantly surprised! We received a warm welcome at this busy pub and were seated at two tables next to the log burner, creating a cozy atmosphere.
