"This was top of the TripAdvisor list for Thai food in the Leatherhead area so we decided to drive there and try it. Getting reservations was proper hard as they seem to always be full so give yourself a week ahead of time to book a weekend slot. The restaurant is part of The Plough pub and has ample parking towards the back which is very convenient. They were finishing off the back garden seating as well when we were there so should be a beautiful place for outdoor munching in good weather. Atmosphere is lovely and relaxed with well spaced tables, airy dining room overlooking the garden, and friendly service. We ordered several appetisers with were all well presented the spring rolls were perfect light brown and crispy, fish cakes were freshly made and also fried up beautifully. We had a plate of calamari which was also excellent although but small perhaps my kids just ate them too quickly. The mains were good and the family enjoyed most of them. We had a pad thai which was well presented, not too mushy and had the right ingredients as a traditional pad thai (no rogue veggies to be found! . The fried rice was also nice and light without too much sauce to darken it sign of a truly good khao pad. The penang was a bit thin for my taste but my husband loved it. I had a tom yum noodle dish which did not impress as the soup didn’t have much depth to it. The food was very decent and I quite see why this place was well ranked for the area. Would I drive a long way for this probably not but if I was in the area and wanted decent Thai food The Plough Malai Thai would be a very good option."

Amazing food, highly recommended. I would say that the Thai food was perhaps better than we ate in Thailand. 10/10.

beautiful relaxed atmosphere, as taken for a business dinner. a good choice of eating and personal was very attentive. would be the cork masaman who was beautiful, although the cork could be softer, there was the taste. I would eat there again.

Simply the best is all I can say! We eat out often and this is the best Thai place we have found. The food never disappoints and the staff and entertainment are lovely. Great for a romantic night out or just getting together with friends. Don’t miss out on this gem of a place!

Great food, but outstanding cocktails best in absolutely ages! Barman AJ is truly gifted! We all had the raspberry rhubarb gin with a hint of herbs, like a Pimm's really clever! , then designated driver had non alcoholic gin with rhubarb ginger even nicer!! , while others indulged in espresso martinis with salted caramel not too sweet, slightly smoky ! , off the scale gorgeous!!! Well done AJ we'll be back!
